Watch your mouth!

Tongue is used 129 times in Scripture.
James 1:26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridled not his tongue, but deceived his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.
3:5-6 The tongue is a little member, and boasted great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindled! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defiled the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
v. 8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
v. 10 Out of the same mouth proceeded blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
Prov. 6:17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
Prov. 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Ps. 120:2 Deliver my soul, O L-RD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.

v. 30 Is there iniquity in my tongue? cannot my taste discern perverse things?
Ps. 34:13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
Ps. 35:28 And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.

Isa. 50:4 The L-rd G-D hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: He wakened morning by morning, He wakened mine ear to hear as the learned.

“Be not rash with your mouth, it is better for you to listen and learn therefore let your words be few, not monopolizing the conversation. That goes for conversations with mankind as well as with Me. Fools who offer up wordy or insincere prayers do not know that they are doing evil for a fool's voice is known by multitude of words.
Suffer not your mouth to cause your flesh to sin, and do not get carried away with religious enthusiasm, do not make promises you cannot or do not intend to keep.
For in the multitude of dreams and many words there are also divers vanities: but fear you Me.
Only let your conversation be as it becomes Me, being stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith. Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as you have as I which have called you is holy, so be you holy in all manner of conversation. Having a good conscience, that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation with Me.
Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in all holy conversation and godliness.
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the
L-RD, and their righteousness is of Me, saith the L-RD.”
