Sons of God/Daughters of men

Gen. 6:2-4 sons of G-d saw the daughters of men
Enoch 18:1-7 The men took me on to the fifth heaven and placed me, and there I saw many and countless soldiers, called Grigori, of human appearance, and their size was greater than that of great than of great giants and their faces withered, and the silence of their mouths perpetual, and there was no service on the fifth heaven, and I said to the men who were with me:
2. ‘Wherefore are these very withered and their faces melancholy, and their mouths silent, and wherefore is there no service on this heaven?’
3. And they said to me: ‘These are the Grigori, who with their prince Satanail rejected the Lord of light, and after them are those who are held in great darkness on the second heaven, and three of them went down on to earth from the Lord’s throne, to the place Ermon, and broke through their vows on the shoulder of the hill Ermon and saw the daughters of men how good they are, and took to themselves wives, and befouled the earth with their deeds, who in all times of their age mad lawlessness and mixing, and giants are born and marvelous big men and great enmity.’
4. And therefore God judged them with great judgment, and they weep for their brethren and they will be punished on the Lord’s great day.’
5. And I said to the Grigori: ‘I saw your brethren and their works, and their great torments, and I prayed for them, but the Lord has condemned them to be under earth till heaven and earth shall end for ever.’
6. And I said: ‘Wherefore do you wait, brethren and do not serve before the Lord’s face, and have not put your services before the Lord’s face, lest you anger your Lord utterly?’
7. And they listened to my admonition, and spoke to their four ranks in heaven, and lo! As I stood with those two men four trumpets trumpeted together with great voice, and the Grigori broke into song with one voice, and their voice went up before the Lord pitifully and affectingly.

Strategies Using Scripture

Most Christians are unaware that the arguments of socialism and the welfare State are nothing less than the ancient pagan view of the State forged by the fires of Moloch worship, ending in human sacrifice and slavery to the ruler’s desires. Christians must learn to discern the devious language, and expose the wolves in sheep’s clothing that deceive Christians into aggression using Christian language and Bible passages.
Christians are both to confront the wolves and to respond to socialism with biblical answers. The answers to socialism are: “The King is not G-d,” and, “Thou Shalt Not Steal.” If Christians do not actively refute these principles of government, law, and economics, then we will move closer to the socialists’ vision of society.
The only avenue to repairing this ruin is through obedience to Y’Shua. This path requires us to return to G-d’s word, and rebuild our lives, our families, churches, states and social order based upon G-d’s revealed way of life. The choice between G-d and socialism is the same as the choice between G-d and Satan. One leads to paradise, the other to delusion and hell. It is G-d versus Socialism, be sure of that.
Our Western society has lost its Christian soul and so we are like a ship without its rudder and thus we are lured by the socialists who advertise that the greatest form of good in the world is ubiquitous control by government. Thus they negate G-d and therefore violate the very foundation of Christian teaching.
Socialism means economic control of the people by government. In a socialist country, the state is all-powerful. Such an all-powerful state views itself and not God (who is negated) as the ultimate authority. Socialism believes in a secular society void of biblical morality, biblical guidance, biblical wisdom, in short void of Messiah and of G-d.
Genesis 4:17 Cain built a city after he fell away from G-d (a city in this context implies a rival kingdom with its own set of laws, morals, economics and social values), to the men of Babel who attempted to build a tower that reached into heaven (to demonstrate their humanistic autonomy over/against the rule of G-d) we find that G-d’s judgment eventuates in the collapse of any autonomous humanistic system. In the case of Babel,
G-d’s judgment included the use of diversity to such a degree that they no longer had enough unity to sustain their forward motion. (This sounds like the United States with our present emphasis on diversity and multiculturalism!) Hence, G-d’s blessing will not be upon any state or system of government that declares its independence from the rule of G-d.
In the book of Exodus G-d judged the Egyptians because of the economic bondage they imposed upon G-d’s covenant people. Thus, we see again the truth that any state government attempting to control the economics of a people inhibits worship of the one true G-d, becomes a rival kingdom to the Kingdom of G-d, and will eventually experience the judgment of G-d.
G-d judged Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar and made him act like a beast for seven years until he acknowledged that “the Most High rules over the kingdom of men and gives it to whomsoever He will” (Daniel 4:25, 34-37).
Note these examples show that humankind has a historical tendency to build its own kingdoms with its own religious systems, morals, economics, and gods as a way to demonstrate human autonomy and throw off the restraints put upon them by the Most High G-d (read Psalm 2). The acknowledgement of His Laws and reliance upon His providence is the bottom line.
Revelation 13 teaches us that the beast (representing the large central government of the Roman Empire) was an enemy against the saints of G-d that stopped people from buying and selling unless they had the mark of the beast on their foreheads (a biblical metaphor to signify unison in thought and ideology with a large central humanistic government). Those looking for a literal mark of the beast in the future don’t realize that humanists have been dominating “buying and selling” and the economy since 1913 with the creation of the Federal Reserve Bank which controls interest rates and all major banks, thus controlling politics and the economy.
As our governing bodies have changed, have we strayed from G-d's ideals?
We should pray for our leaders in government, and it also indicates what we should expect from our officials.
If we as a nation were to again favor G-d as espoused by the first four of the Ten Commandments of Exodus 20 (not forced conversions but favoring Christianity as the Founding Fathers did by protecting it from the state as shown in the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution) and base our laws on the last six of the Ten Commandments then we as a nation will enjoy the blessing of G-d and will secure our place as a super power for generations to come!
We need to pray scripture in corporate agreement. Pray for more power to be a witness as Y’Shua commanded. With the keys of the Kingdom, we loose ourselves and others around the world from all that is not of G-d and bind ourselves to His will. If your strategy and tactics never point people to Scripture, then your process will never multiply. You won’t be as effective as you’d like. I am convinced that Scripture casts a big enough vision for us all. Strategy and tactics are the result of Scripture opening our eyes to the world around us and of our obedience. If our strategies and tactics come from Scripture, and if we teach others to examine Scripture for their strategies and tactics, we will transform the people, communities, and nations we encounter – all to the glory of
G-d.
2 Chron. 7:14 If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Y’Shua’s 40 day prayer strategies to tear down strongholds, He responded to every mind set that the enemy offered him with, "It is written .... ."
A stronghold is a mind set saturate with hopelessness, which causes us to accept as unchangeable, situations and beliefs that we know are contrary to G-d's truth about us and all that concerns us.
He drew a circle around himself and submitted His own heart to G-d first.
He addressed the enemy directly rather than being tricked into fighting people.
He used scripture rather than "reason" to fight the enemy.
He dealt with the temptations and the mindsets that the enemy offered Him first.
He fasted and prayed scripture for 40 days (and His results were perfect.)
He prayed scripture that related to very specific strongholds.
He prayed using His delegated authority along with fasting, and trusted G-d with the results.
We could covenant together to take the Word of G-d, resist lies and embrace truth, like Y’Shua did, for 40 days. We can swing the Sword of the Spirit until we have victory in our own lives and the beam is out of our own eye that our hands are clean so we may pray for our government!

2 Cor 10:4-5 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of G-d, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Messiah.
Eph 6:11-12 Put on the full armor of G-d so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Phil 1:9-11 And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Messiah, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Y’Shua the Messiah--to the glory and praise of G-d.
Matt 18:18-20 I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."

James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
Heb 4:12-13 For the word of G-d is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from G-d's sight. Every creature is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
Acts 3:20-22 and that He may send Y’Shua the Messiah, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which G-d has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.

Devil's Favorite Passage

Heb. 6: The design of this chapter seems to be, to warn them against the danger of going back entirely, and to encourage them to make the highest attainments possible in the knowledge of Messianic, and in the divine life. The apostle would keep them from entire apostasy, and would excite them to make all the advances which they possibly could make; and particularly he designs to prepare them to receive what he had yet to say about the higher doctrines of the Messianic religion.
He assures them that, if they should apostatize, it would be impossible to renew them again. They could not fall away from grace, and again be renewed; they could not, after having been Messianic Believers and then apostatizing, be recovered. Their fall, in that case, would be final and irrecoverable, for there was no other way by which they could be saved; and by rejecting the Christian scheme, they would reject the only plan by which they could ever be brought to heaven. By this solemn consideration, therefore, he warns them of the danger of going back from their exalted hopes, or of neglecting the opportunities which they had to advance to the knowledge of the higher truths in religion.
They had indeed receded from what they had been. They had not made the advances which he says they might have done. But still, there was reason to hope that they would not wholly apostatize, and be cast off by G-d. They had shown that they had true religion, and he believed that G-d would not forget the evidence which they had furnished that they loved Him.
To encourage them in this, he refers them to the solemn oath which G-d had taken, and His sacred covenant with them confirmed by an oath, in order that they might have true comfort, and be sustained in the temptations and trials of life. That hope was theirs. It was sure and steadfast. It entered into that within the veil; it had been confirmed by Him who had entered heaven as the great High Priest after the order of Melchizedek, Hebrews 6:13-20. By such considerations He would guard them from the danger of apostasy; He would encourage them to diligence in the divine life; and He would seek to prepare them to welcome the more high and difficult doctrines of the Messianic religion.
[1] Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
[2] Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
[3] And this will we do, if God permit.
[4] For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
[5] And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
[6] If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame
.
Therefore because ye have been so indolent, slow of heart, and have still so many advantages. Ceasing to continue in the state of babes, who must be fed with milk-with the lowest doctrines of the Gospel, when ye should be capable of understanding the highest.
Let us never rest till we are adult Believers-till we are saved from all sin, and are filled with the spirit and power of the Messiah. Let us go on unto perfection, that is, the account of His incarnation, and the different types and ceremonies in the law by which His advent, nature, office, and miracles were pointed out. The whole Law of Moses pointed out the Messiah that is perfection.
Not even baptisms, as it is used in this passage, is necessarily Christian. The specific ancient Greek word translated baptisms is not the word regularly used in the New Testament to describe Christian baptism. It is the word used on two other specific occasions (Hebrews 9:10 and Mark 7:4) to refer to Jewish ceremonial washings. In this case, the elementary principles to move beyond are all items in the "common ground" between Christianity and Judaism. This was a "safe" common ground these Messianic Jews retreated to. Because Christianity did grow out of Judaism, it was a more subtle temptation for a Messianic Jew to slip back into Judaism than it was for a formerly pagan Christian to go back to his pagan ways. Of course, these Messianic Jews did not want to abandon religion, but they did want to make it less distinctively Christian. Therefore, they went back to this "common ground" to avoid persecution. Living in this comfortable common ground, you would not stick out so much. A Jew and a Christian together could say, "Let's repent, let's have faith, let's perform ceremonial washings," and so forth. But this was a subtle denial of the Messiah. This is entirely characteristic of those who feel discouraged, and wish to give up. There is always the temptation to still be religious, but not so "fanatical" about Y’Shua.
If G-d permit - This should not be taken as implying that G-d may not want them to go on to maturity, past those basics common to Christianity and Judaism. Instead, if G-d permits expresses the believers' complete dependence on G-d. If we do press on to maturity, we realize that it only happens at G-d's pleasure.
Systems of theology are important, because the Bible does not contradict itself; but the way to right systems begins with a right understanding of the text, not one that bends the text to fit into a system. Satan knows Scripture, and this passage has rightly been called "one of the Devil's favorite passages" for its ability to be taken out of context for condemning the struggling believer. Many have felt like giving up after hearing Satan "preach a sermon" on this text!
For it is impossible - The word impossible is put in a position of emphasis. The writer to the Hebrews is not saying it is just difficult, but truly without possibility - impossible stands immovabel.
Enlightened - This ancient Greek word has the same meaning as the English word. These people have experienced the light of G-d shining upon them.
Tasted - This word speaks of a full, real experience, the heavenly gift is probably salvation (Romans 6:23 and Ephesians 2:8).
Partakers of the Holy Spirit - is an unique term, having to do with receiving the Holy Spirit and having fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
Tasted the good Word of G-d means they have experienced the goodness of G-d's Word, and have seen its work in their lives
One of the most heated debates over this verse, the question is simple: Are these people who have had these impressive spiritual experiences in fact Believers? Are they G-d's elect, chosen before the foundation of the world? From a human perspective, who would call anyone who seemed to have the credentials mentioned in Hebrews 6:4-5 a non-Believer? From G-d's perspective, it is impossible to say on this side of eternity.
For it is impossible – IF they fall away, to renew them again to repentance: If these people are Believers or not, once they have come to this place, it is impossible for them to repent. This passage was used by some in the early church (like Montanists and Novatianists) to say that there was no possibility of restoration if one sinned significantly after their baptism.
This difficult passage is best understood in the context of Hebrews 6:1-2. The writer to the Hebrews means that if they do retreat back to Judaism, all the religious "repentance" in the world will do them no good. Their forsaking of Y’Shua is tantamount to crucifying Him all over again, especially if they were to express their repentance in traditional Jewish forms: especially animal sacrifice, which denies the total work of Y’Shua for them on the cross.
If they fall away: Remember there is a great difference between falling and falling away. Falling away isn't just falling into some sin, it is actually departing from Y’Shua Himself. For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again, but the wicked shall fall by calamity. (Proverbs 24:16) The difference is between a Peter and a Judas. If you depart from Y’Shua, there is no hope!
The message to these Believers who felt like giving up was clear: if you don't continue on with Y’Shua, don't suppose you will find salvation by just going on with the old basics that are common to Judaism; if you aren't saved in believing in the Messiah, you aren't saved!
If one falls like this, does it mean they can't repent? That G-d prohibits their repentance? Remember first that repentance itself is a gift from G-d; no one genuinely repents without
G-d's enabling. Second, if one does repent, that in itself is evidence that they have not truly fallen away. The idea is not that "if you fall away, you can't come back to Y’Shua ever," but that "if you turn your back on Y’Shua, don't expect to find salvation anywhere else, especially in the foundations of Judaism apart from the fullness of the Messiah."
This passage has nothing to do with those who fear lest it condemns them. The presence of that anxiety, like the cry which betrayed the real mother in the days of Solomon, establishes beyond a doubt that you are not one that has fallen away beyond the possibility of renewal to repentance.

The Spirit of the Law

Law of G-d is as it always has been holy, just, good, and spiritual (Rom. 7:12-14)
The underlying idea of Law, as it is used in the Bible, is that of teaching and instruction. Law is G-d’s revelation of Himself to mankind.
The underlying idea of Law is that of teaching and instruction. Law is G-d instructing His people that they may know how to live in a moral and ethical way, pleasing unto Him, and at peace with our fellow man.
Both Y’Shua and Paul taught that believers should be guided by the Spirit of G-d to9 fulfill the Law through faith and love. Although Y’Shua fulfilled the ceremonial or sacrificial part of the Law by dying on the cross, we still see the principles of the Law, such as the priesthood and the atonement, evidence today in the ministry of the church. In short, the manifestation has changed, but the spirit of the Law that exposes sin and produces light and life is the center of N. T. teaching.
All the letters of Paul’s were addressed to predominantly Gentile congregations, the Hebrews understood what Paul was saying but the Gentiles were coming out of occults and confused to what it all meant.
Y’Shua as a Jew was faithful to the Law! Paul’s letters were written to straighten out problems of his Gentile converts, who were not familiar with the ways or Laws of G-d, to the casual reader they sometimes give the appearance that he was against he Law of G-d.
Actually, Paul only directs his seemingly negative comments concerning the Law towards two groups:
1. Those non-Jews who thought needed to keep the Law for salvation.
2. Some fundamentalist Jews who tried to make it a prerequisite that non-Jews who tried to make it a prerequisite that non-Jews must keep the Law for salvation.
Which Law makes you feel uncomfortable? The Laws or instructions only condemns Law- breakers.
To Paul the Law was the Word of G-d, he was a Pharisee and he certainly did not intend to start a new religion that opposed Scripture. Paul’s heated arguments that appear to be directed against the Law by those who were putting his Gentile congregations in bondage by teach that the Law was for salvation. The teaching that that the Law of G-d was superseded by or in opposition to the grace of G-d did not originate with Paul, for he himself followed all of the Law.
Lk. 16:16 “Did not the NT say that the Law and the prophets were only until John?” What it was saying is simply stating that the Law and the prophets until John was all the Scripture there was at that time.
Often Y’Shua went beyond the letter of the Law and instructed His disciples in the spirit of the Law. What was Paul’s intent when he taught that the letter of the Law kills? It is obvious that he did not mean the Law of G-d is bad and will put one in bondage, as is suggested by these words today. Paul kept the Law and encouraged Jews everywhere to do the same (1 Cor. 7:18). Remember this statement was written to the Gentiles at Corinth, never to Jewish believers (2 Cor. 3:6).
The purpose being that the very intent of the Law is to expose and define sin. For the Gentile converts to try to keep a Jewish lifestyle without the godly disciplined background, it would become a bondage that was neither necessary nor proper. In this text Paul said the letter of the Law kills, but he went on to point out that the spirit of the Law gives life. (Rom. 8:2-4).
The highest service to which a man may attain on earth is to preach the Law of G-d!
The most significant tribute to G-d’s Law comes from the Saviour when He said, whosoever does and teaches the Law will be great in the Kingdom of heaven. (Matt. 5:19).
Even in the last days:
Isa. 2:6 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the L-RD, to the house of the G-d of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the L-RD from Jerusalem.
Mic. 4:2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the L-RD, and to the house of the G-d of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the L-RD from Jerusalem.
Rom. 2:13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before G-d, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
Rom. 2:23 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou G-d?
G-d being a perfect G-d, had to give a perfect Law, and the Law was given not to save men, but to measure them.
1 Tim. 1:8 the misunderstood phrase The curse of the Law as well as similar terms such as the bondage of the Law, works of the Law, and under the Law could better be understood as the curse of the Word of G-d that comes to those who violate G-d’s Law. There is no curse of the Law on anyone, except as Paul said, those who misuse it. Remember, the phrases under the Law and works of the Law were only used by Paul when addressing Gentile congregations. Paul clearly taught that the Law properly understood was ‘holy, just, and good in Rom. 7:12. Paul’s statements referred to those who were in subjection to the system that perverted the Law into legalism.
The Hebrew did not recognize Paul as an apostle for he did not meet the requirements; Paul himself calls himself an ‘apostle to the Gentiles.’ Later he uses the turn New Covenant to describe his gentile converts, adding that they too were the Israel of G-d in Gal. 6:16.
In the fight as to how much of the 613 Oral Laws were these Gentile converts were to keep, came up the 7 Noachide Laws, plus the 10 written Laws, with the Oral laws comes out to 613. The covenant with the Jews was for them to keep the Law of Moses as a lifestyle of the godly to set them apart from the other nations. The Noachide Laws were taken from the moral and spiritual principles derived basically from Gen. 9:4-7, among other text, that gave instructions to avoid pagan practices and serve the true G-d, they were to be recognized as G-d fearers. All the 613 Laws can be found in the Torah; it is quite an enlighten study and shows how all churches and Hebrew places have put fences around the original Laws.
Christian writers had begun to teach that the Law had been fulfilled by the coming of the Messiah. By misusing the word ‘fulfilled’ they defined this to mean it was abolished or cancelled, which was exactly opposite the teaching of Y’Shua in Matt. 5:18-19. The word ‘fulfill’ meant to keep the Law and correctly interpret its teachings. Paul said in Gal. 6:2; Rom. 13:10 ‘fulfill the Law meant one should fulfill the Law through love and doing for others – which is the spirit of the Law.
Peter says Paul wrote some things which are hard to understand and when in the hands of those unlearned in the Scripture and unstable are often twisted to their own destruction. (2 Pet. 3:15-16). Those unlearned were unaware of the Jewishness of the Scriptures and culture in which Paul wrote.
To often we just take what a preacher says, believing he was taught truth, but many times they too have not see the whole Bible as a Jewish book, through the eyes and culture of the Hebrews. 2 Tim. 2:15 says to study to show thyself approve –
Don’t even take my word for it - look it up for yourself.
Matt. 5:18-19 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Isa. 5:24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the L-RD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
Matt. 25:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Bottom line: If you only had the Torah and the Gospels you have it all – everything else is commentary.

My college prophesier wrote a hand book on the Spirit of the Law, I have taken from there and paraphrased it, just pulling out some of the golden nuggets. His name was by PHD Ron Moseley
