As parents we tend to enable our children by trying to fix everything for them. Many are still doing it when the children are in their thirties and forties.
Then comes the ‘blame’ game – it is the ‘systems’ fault, it is the way society is, everyone is picking on them. And the list goes on and on. Pointing fingers at everybody or everything else – people don’t want to take account for their own actions.
‘Spare the rod and spoil the child,’ G-d said. If we would remove our hands and allow the children to learn to make their own choices and be accountable for their own actions, that would be allowing them to grow up to become respectable adults.
I see children ‘young adults’ slowly maturing for they haven’t learned lives lessons nor been prepared for it.
Read about Eli and the hard lesson he had to learn for not training his boys. They were probably good at this or that but even the very worse person has good and bad qualities. Hell is real and paved with good intentions.
Our choice in life determines our destiny. No matter how much pampering one gets, or all the bad choices they make it comes down to individual decisions and for those who cry ‘I wasn’t trained that way, so there for I did not know.’ Some are still trying to point a finger to blame another person for their choices, because they did not seek out correct advice to life’s problems.
Dispenser of Strict-Justice
[85:1] LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.
In January of 1985 the world learned of ‘Operation Moses.’ Israel had been airlifting Ethiopian Jews from refugee camps in Sudan. Over ten thousand black Jews (Falashas) had escaped persecution under Ethiopia’s communist regime. They had journeyed over the mountainous border into Sudan. Through Sudan is an Arab counry and had no official relations with Israel, certain government personnel had permitted European airliners, hired by Israel, to rescue the refugees.
Living conditions in the camps were deplorable. Several hundreds of the Falashas, perhaps thousands had died for lack of food or proper medical attention. Most, however, had managed to survive and were rescued. It is quite remarkable that the first verse of Ps 85 would allude to the captivity of Jacob returning to the Promised Land.
Trans European Airways, a Brussels-based charter airline, made 35 flights from November 1884 to January 1985, airlifting black Jews out of refugee camps in Sudan. The flights were canceled afer Israeli officials confirmed newspaper reports that a rescue mission was under way. Embarrassed Sudanese government officials halted the flights once news licked out. Their Arab neighbors were furious that Sudan would help Israel. Some 7,000 Falashas remained stranded in refugee camps in Sudan and perhaps as many as 10,000 were still in Ethiopia. Prime Minister Peres vowed, ‘we shall not rest until all our brothers and sisters from Ethiopia come safely back home.’
Who are these Ethiopian Jews? Some claim descent from the tribe of Levi by Moses and his Ethiopian wife (Num. 12:1). Others claim descent from the tribe of Judah by Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. According to Ethiopian history, the Queen of Sheba had a foot disorder and heard that Solomon had knowledge of medicines and herbs. In the weeks following her arrival in Jerusalem, she fell in love with Solomon. From their union came a son, Menelik – the first of the dynasty of whom Hail Selassie claimed to be the 225th generation.
When Menelik was nineteen years old, having received his education in Jerusalem, he was realy to make his journey to Ethiopia. Solomon had a duplicate made of the Ark of the Covenant and presented it to his son. However, according to Ethiopia history, having some of the wisdom of his father, Menelik threw a farewell party the night before he left. He served several rounds of wine to the priesthood. While they were preoccupied and inebriated, he sneaked into the Holy of Holies, switched Arks and took the real Ark of the Covenant back to Ethiopia.
Haile Selassie claimed it was the real Ark. Encyclopedia Britannica in 1934 reported the Ark being in the church. The table of stone upon which the Ten Commandments was written is also there.
Isaiah 18 records a prophecy about the rescue of Jews from Ethiopia and their bringing a present to the Temple Mount. Isa. 188:1 ‘Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia.’ The Nile river begins in Northern Ethiopia and flow through Sudan. The designation is apparent. The passage refers to Ethiopia. The wings could be a picture of those airplanes airlifting the black Jews to safety. Woe to the land could be a reference to Ethiopia’s future destruction in the Battle of Gog and Magog (Ezekiel 38:5). Ethiopia will accompany Russia against Israel.
Isaiah 18:2 speaks of vessels of bulrushes. Such boats are still used in the land until this day. There are only two places in the Bible where bulrushes are mentioned – here, and in Exodus 2:3, a story of the rescue of Moses. The vessels of bulrushes may be G-d’s way of predicting that the rescue of Ethiopian Jews would be called ‘Operation Moses.’
Isaiah 18:2 continues,…Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation melted out and trodden down, whose land the rivers had spoiled! The swift messengers could be the air rescue team. The term scattered could refer to the displaced people and peeled refers to the color of their skin-a black skinned people who look as if their skin has been baked in the sun. melted out and trodden down describes the communist overthrow of the country since 1974 and their oppressive actions against the populace. Whose land the rivers have spoiled compares with the drought which has devastated the land in recent years.
The next verse 3 reveals a message to Gentile Christianity all over the world. All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifeth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye. The ensign may be the Holy Ark brought back to the Temple Mount and the trumpet could refer to the shofar sounded on Rosh Hashanah.
The concept that the Ark of the Covenant will be returned to the Temple site on Rosh Hashanah is given in the Tehillim commentary on Ps. 47. Talmudic rabbis say that this sounding of the trumpet has a reference to the Ark of the Covenant, which was concealed as the era of the First Temple drew to a close. ‘In the future, when the great horn of redemption is blown, this Ark will ascend from its concealment.’
The rabbi’s believe the blast will occur on Rosh Hashanah heralding not only the appearance of the Ark of the Covenant, but the time when the ‘Dispenser of Strict-Justice’ sets His judgment and raises the dead. ‘When the Jew hears the sound of the trumpet, he realizes that he deserves shattering punishment for his sins, he is forgiven and repent. Having felt remorse for his sins, he is forgiven and the verdict is nullified. Thus, G-d ascends and departs because of the trumpet blast.’ Isaiah 18:5 alludes to the Battle of Gog and Magog: For afore the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches. Just before the harvest when the bud is perfect (the last sinner is converted), and the sour grape is ripening (the wicked are ready to be thrown into
G-d’s winepress of judgment), G-d will cut down the branches (bring on the Battle of Gog and Magog).
Ezekiel’s prophecy compares with this passage. Just as Ezek. 39:17-20 offers an invitation to…every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, …to eat the flesh of the slain on the battlefield, Isaiah 18:6 says, They shall be left together unto the fowls of the mountains, and to the beast of the earth; and the fowls shall summer upon them, and all the beast of the earth shall winter upon them.
Isa. 18:7 returns to the most important subject of the chapter. In that time shall the present be brought unto the L-RD of host of a people…to the place of the name of the L-RD of host, the mount Zion. Could that present be the Ark of the Covenant? The poor Ethiopian Jews have no money. The only thing of value is the Ark kept in the Church of St. Mary of Zion in Aksum.
The minor prophet Zephaniah offers a further prophecy. Zeph. 1:1 He was apparently an Ethiopiah Jew, the son of Cushi and in chapter 3:10 the prophet wrote, From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my supplians, even the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering. The word suppliants is used only one time in the Bible. It means ‘a multitude of worshipers.’ This multitude of Ethiopian Jews is called the daughter of my dispersed. These people are the daughter (offspring) of the Jews (my dispersed). This may be another reference to the Ark of the Covenant since they have no other offering to bring. The Zephaniah is placed in the time frame of that day (v. 11) at that time…when I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the L-Rd. (3:20).
This is why Psalm 85 is so important as a reference to the rescue of Ethiopian Jews. The rescue effort continues. It is not yet complete and the Holy Ark has not yet been returned. According to rabbinic scholars, the psalm originally predicted Israel’s return from the Babylonian exile to rebuild the Temple. Ultimately, the psalm projects a future time when Jews would return to open the Third Temple Period. In 1985 a movement was already underway in Israel with demands by religious Jews for a place to worship on the Temple mount. The prophetic aspect of the psalm is most significant when considered with the preceding psalm (84) wherein David ‘yearned to return to the Holy Ark and to the sacrificial altar, this psalm as a prophecy describing Israel’s eventual redemption from the present exile.
Israel will be spiritually revived again. Reconciliation will be made with G-d His shekinah glory will return. The people will become righteous as a prelude to the steps coming of the Messiah.
Future events which may lead to Israel’s revival includes a return of the Ark of the Covenant, an appointment of 144,000 to raise the Tabernacle of David and a restoration of the Temple worship on the Sacred Mount.
Rabbi Feuer wrote in his commentary on the Ps., ‘In the future, G-d’s glory will return to the land and to the Holy Temple. In the Second Temple, this glory was absent. The Talmud relates that five Divine manifestations which were present in the First Temple were absent in the Second Temple. These were:
1. The Holy Ark, along with its cover, and the cherubim.
2. The heavenly fire which descended upon the altar.
3. The Shekinah (manifestation of the Divine Presence).
4. Ruach HaKodesh (the Divine Spirit of prophecy).
5. Urim V’Tumim (the breast plate of the High Priest, which relayed prophetic messages).
All of these phenomena will be present when the Third Temple is built!
The number 85 has two uses:
1. It means ‘mouth, in the sense of blowing or breathing.
2. It means ‘here, in this place.’
We have a moving of the Spirit. G-d is about to birth the nation with the Holy Spirit. Remembers the words of Y’Shua, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of G-d in John 3:5. Israel was born of water in 1948. Soon the nation will be born of the Sprit-where? Here, in this place! On the Temple Mount!

Angry Waves
Heavy waves of brown filth are rolling in smashing against the shores as if trying to rid itself of all the pollution. The birds are trying desperately to fly forward but the wind pushes them uncontrollable backwards.
It appears like everything is out of control. What is going on in the Heavenly?
Dead fish are being toss to the shore – there is a disturbance here as if creation is crying out.
I found myself calling out ‘Peace-be still!’ and before my eyes the angry waves subsided and the fowl of the air could fly normal again. Did we win the war in the heavenly or did the raging sea calm down because we were given dominion over the elements?
The water did not appear dark brown anymore – amazing!

Ark of the Covenant
[Ps. 84:1] How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!
[2] My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
[4] Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.
[10] For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Psalm 84 is the highlight psalm of the Leviticus section. It follows a series of Psalms written by Asaph and is the first of a second group (84-85, 87-88) attributed to the sons of Korah. They also wrote Psalms 42-49.
Rabbi Feuer wrote that David, while on foreign soil, ‘yearned to return to the Holy Ark and to the sacrificial altar. In this palm, he described the longing of all ‘lonely exiles in future generations.’
The tenor of the psalm certainly describes devout Jews in 1984. After so many long years excluded from the Tempt Mount and content with praying at the Western Wall, certain ‘Faithful of the Temple Mount’ began to call for a Jew-presence within the confines of the Moslem-held Temple site. It was as if the pent-up cry burst forth, My soul longeth, hea, even fainteth for the courts of the
L-RD.
Even the number 84 lends to the mood of the year. The number 84 meaning ‘to ransom, to release, to set free.’ This was certainly the cry of the religious Jews who desire to establish a place of worship on the mountain. The Moslems are in control of the Holy site and it’s time for the Jews to redeem it.
In January of 1984, Yigael Yadin published his commentary on the famous Temple Scroll in English. The scroll was drafted with the object of establishing that is
G-d Himself who is the speaker. Instructions are given in the ancient document on rebuilding the Temple!
In April, 1984 issue of BAR Magazine, archeologist Asher Kaufman discussed at length the site of the ancient Temples and suggested that both Solomon’s and Herod’s were built on a site which lies to the north of the Dome of the Rock directly west of the Eastern Gate. A small cupula stands some three hundred feet north of the mosque. It is called the ‘Dome of the Tablets’ and covers a rock suggested being the foundation stone for the Ark of the Covenant. The spot marks the possible location of the Holy of Holies in both Temples. And whatever happened to the Ark of the Covenant? According to Jewish history, Jeremiah took the hangings of the Tabernacle, along with the Ark of the Covenant, and hid them in a cave in the country of Moab almost 2,600 years ago.
The account is recorded in the apocryphal book of 2 Maccabees 2:4-8:
[3] And with other such speeches exhorted he them, that the law should not depart from their hearts.
[4] It was also contained in the same writing, that the prophet, being warned of God, commanded the tabernacle and the ark to go with him, as he went forth into the mountain, where Moses climbed up, and saw the heritage of God.
[5] And when Jeremy came thither, he found an hollow cave, wherein he laid the tabernacle, and the ark, and the altar of incense, and so stopped the door.
[6] And some of those that followed him came to mark the way, but they could not find it.
[7] Which when Jeremy perceived, he blamed them, saying, As for that place, it shall be unknown until the time that God gather his people again together, and receive them unto mercy.
[8] Then shall the Lord shew them these things, and the glory of the Lord shall appear, and the cloud also, as it was shewed under Moses, and as when Solomon desired that the place might be honourably sanctified.
According to the ancient account, Jeremiah declared that the Tabernacle would be discovered that the Tabernacle would be discovered in the day when G-d gathers His people together again and shows them His mercy. Jeremiah predicted the return of the Shekinah glory. The fire will fall from heaven to bless the old tent with the presence of G-d. just as it did at the dedications of Moses’ Tabernacle and Solomon’s Temple.
The prophecies of Ezekiel seem to concur. Through the Battle of Gog and Magog is predicted in Ezekiel 38, the last three verses of chapter 37 allude to the return of the Tabernacle:
[26] Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.
[27] My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
[28] And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.
The Hebrew word in verse 27 and Ps. 84:1 for tabernacle is ‘Mishkon.’ It is used exclusively in the O.T. It is used exclusively in the O.T. for the Mosaic Tabernacle built of acacia wood, overlaid with gold, comprising two rooms – the Holy place and the Holy of Holies. Ezekiel referred to both a sanctuary and a Mishkon. Psalm 84 makes the term plural (tabernacles) which implies at least two places of worship.
In the days of King David, a special tent was built to house the Ark of the Covenant on Mount Moriah. It was the Tabernacle of David. The Mishkon of Moses during that time was located at Gibeon about 6 miles northwest of Jerusalem. The Hebrew term used for David’s tabernacle was Ouhel meaning simply a tent. The implication seems to be that both the Mishkon of Moses and the Ouhel of David may be found with the Ark of the Covenant and return to Jerusalem. The Ouhel of David could house the Ark of the Covenant on the Temple Mount while the Mishkon of Moses could be kept elsewhere.
There are reports of an Ark hidden in the Church of Saint Mary of Zion in Aksum, Ethiopia. Menelik, son of Solomon and the Queen of Sheba stole the Ark, leaving a duplicate in its place.
We may not have long to wait until the real Ark is returned to Jerusalem.
The most exciting event of 1984 was the rediscovery of the ancient Techelet – the blue-purple die once used in the ribbons along the borders of Jewish prayer shawls (talliths). In the September 8, 1984, edition of SCIENCE NEWS OF THE WEEK the headline read, ‘Blue-purple dye of antiquity reborn. A biochemist in Jerusalem priced together historical, scriptural and scientific evidence to conclude that he had rediscovered the formula for the ancient dye used by Moses to color the tapestries of the Tabernacle and the ribbons of blue on the talliths of ancient Judaism. G-d had told Moses to obtain the dye from a small sea creature which lived in the Red Sea and the Mediterranean. This purple dye eventually became the color for the royalty of Europe. In the days of the N.T., Lydia was a seller of purple in Acts 16:14. The industry maintained its popularity until the seventh century when the Moslems overran the Holy Land. They killed the manufactures of the dye and the formula died with them. For the past 1,500 years, Jewish talliths have been adorned with black ribbons. It seemed that G-d, called a Banded Dye Murex grows in abundance in the Mediterranean Sea. G-d is about to turn the Jewish night back to day!
[2] My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
[4] Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.

Self-made Eunuchs
The word eunuch in the Old Testament is the Hebrew word [caric] (pronounced saw-reece'), meaning to be castrated. And by extension it means to be celibate or figuratively to live unmarried. Kings and Rulers would often use castrated men or eunuchs, as those who were charged with the management and care of women's chambers. This was done for obvious reasons, since it would be impossible for them to have sexual relations with the women that were under their care. The word translated chamberlain is the exact same word [caric] that is also translated eunuch in scripture who is a celibate or emasculated man.
But while that is the root meaning, by extension the word identifies anyone who won't have sexual union with a woman. For example anyone who, for conscience sake or any reason, will not enter into sexual union, has by implication made himself a eunuch and hopefully choosing to remain single or unmarried (celibate).
The Messiah spoke of those who "would not marry" for the kingdom of G-d's sake, and called them eunuchs. (Matt. 19:12) A one flesh union that cannot be torn asunder, therefore, intimate couples, these words of Messiah about divorce and two flesh becoming one, apply, were it does not apply to celibate men, as well as castrated men.
I have heard many women talk about their husband’s un-wiliness to have marital relationship with them, becoming self-made eunuchs. There seems to be too many having the same problem that it got me to thinking the adversary is trying to change the natural way of husband and wife. G-d sets down His plan and the devil changes it in every way he can. Are we going to allow this to continue to happen? Where are G-d’s warriors?
It seems to be a taboo subject that the devil easily spreads since no one talks about it. Well it is out of the closet now and we need to stop him in his tracks! That means men need to ‘man up’ to their marital responsibility and women need to let go of their built up feelings of ‘rejection and un-fulfillment’.
Celibate men do show emotions of love, hate, laughter and tears. They have no desire to becoming one flesh, which is why they do not marry. If a man becomes celibate after marriage he still has an obligation, according to G-d to fulfill his mate’s needs. (1 Cor. 7:5) Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.
Society has always taught women to satisfy their husbands’ needs even when they had their time of the month or due to sickness. Why the men were not taught the same is unimaginable!
The social engineering and political correctness that is running rampant in our society today is ‘what’s in it for me?’ It's the way of the devil’s world today to turn everything upside down, and esteem bad as good, and good as bad. It is his way to make scripture seem un-compassionate, evil legalism. The smooth and compromising words of nullification seem as good christian compassion. The world makes those who bear faithful witness to truth, bad people.
May our most gracious L-rd keep us rooted firmly in Him that we may endure to the end, through all hours of great trials and tribulation.

Modern Day Battle of Jericho
History repeats itself over and over for we are ‘slow’ learners:
[Ps.82:1] God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.
The singer Asaph beholds Elohim presiding over a great congregation and rendering judgments before what the text innocently refers to as ‘gods’.
Before us is a courtroom, the matter before it is the ever-present, nettlesome problem of the wicked and the injustices which seem to sweep along in their path.
In addressing the ‘gods’, G-d is not acknowledging pagan deities or recognizing the existence of other supernatural beings like Himself; rather, He is addressing he earthly judges and administrators of His Law whom He has set up to represent Him. Our L-rd depends on these administrators, functioning as magistrates in the divinely ordained state, to bring a measure of immediate relief from the injustices and brutalities of life.
Other passages refer to this class of Israelite rulers and judges as G-d’s representatives on earth. Accordingly, Ex. 21:6, using the same word, orders the slave who voluntarily wishes to be indentured for life to be taken ‘before the judges.’ Likewise, Ex. 22:8 advises the owner who complains of a theft, even when no thief has been found, to ‘appear before the judges.’ Using the same word, the psalmist affirmed in 138:1, ‘I will praise you, O L-rd, with all my heart; before the ‘gods’ (rulers or judges) I will sing your praise.’
Here uses this same word to refer to the executive or judicial branches of government-or those scholars have translated the word as ‘gods’ in the past. In verse 6 it makes it crystal clear by making all believers who ‘are sons of the Most High to be ‘gods’.
[2] How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.
The last place the question will appear is in Psalm 94, a passage which calls for G-d to bring on His judgment of the wicked. It is a question first asked in Psalm 4 and leads us through twelve psalm passages to its final answer in Psalm 94.
[3] Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.
[4] Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.
1982, Israel grew tired of PLO attacks and launched an offensive called ‘Peace for Galilee’. On June 6, 1982, the Israeli Army launched ‘Operation Peace for Galilee.’ They moved into Lebanon to disperse the PLO. Arafat’s terrorists had continually harassed the Israeli nation. After a renewed round of Ketusha rockets, Menachem Begin decided the nation had suffered enough.
Under the leadership of Ariel Sharon the IDF moved into Lebanon. The attack began at 11 a.m. on Sunday and within forty-eight hours; many of the PLO’s fixed positions and much of its long-range Soviet-built artillery had been eliminated from Southern Lebanon. By the time a cease-fire came at eh end of the week, at least sixty thousand troops, led by more than five hundred tanks had swept across the sixty-three mile long Lebanese border, and pushed the PLO all the way to Beirut.
Israel could have captured Yasser Arafat, but the U.S. Government asked them to halt on the outskirts of Lebanon’s capital. That move proved to be expensive. Israel had to maintain the cost of occupation for several months, draining their economy and producing unparalleled inflation. Days dragged on into weeks as the PLO took their time evacuating Beruit.
The August 16, 1982, edition of TIME magazine brandished the headline ‘Beirut Goes Up in Flames,’ though Israel tried to explain that their attack was not ‘the real thing.’ TIME gave a dismal picture of Israel’s blitz, but at least reported Israel’s battle strategy. Above the first paragraph in the TIME article they quoted the cliché: ‘…Joshua fought the battle of Jericho, and the walls came tumbling down.’
Arafat was stalling. Demands were being negotiated for a pull-out, but it was obvious that Arafat was making the most of the situation. Israeli supersonic jets began to circle the city throughout the day breaking the sound barrier with every turn.
The noises of explosions sounded fierce, but were created by those aircraft traveling faster than the speed of sound. They dropped a few bombs in strategic locations for visual effect and completely unnerved Arafat’s PLO. The intensive bombardment lasted for eleven hours, from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m. More than sixty Israeli warplanes took part. According to Beirut reports, ‘Israel dropped their payloads of death and destruction on the besieged city, making some 220 bombing runs. The jets were flying so low that their markings were clearly visible, their noise a deafening howls,’ wrote the Western correspondent for TIME. The PLO dropped their demands and began leaving two days later. Israel explained that they weren’t really bombing Beriut off the map, they were just marching around the walls of Jericho making a lot of noise!
Israel was getting a bad press! The news media received most of its information from Arafat’s brother (head of the Red Crescent, and Arab division of the Red Cross) – exaggerated out of all proportions. Menachem Begin came to the UN General Assembly to explain that they went after the PLO to rid the world of terrorism. However, many of the delegates walked out on his speech.
The world refused to understand Israel’s need to break up the training bases for terrorist who operated in several countries around the world. Israel found underground storage areas with enough military supplies to last the PLO for ten years. Records and files ere found to determine that Russia was planning on invasion of Israel and the Middle East for the near future. Israel had put a dent into Russian war plans. Israel was not allowed to finish the job. The conflict continued into the 1983.
[Ps. 83:2] For, lo, thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.
[3] They have taken crafty counsel against thy people, and consulted against thy hidden ones.
[4] They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.
[5] For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee:
The war dragged on into 1983. Arafat met with Jordan’s King Hussein in an effort to rally support for his dispersed PLO. The enemies of modern Israel included almost the entire Arab world. As a matter of fact, the enemy is named in verse 6-8.
[6] The tabernacles of Edom, and the Ishmaelites; of Moab, and the Hagarenes;
[7] Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
[8] Assur also is joined with them: they have holpen the children of Lot. Selah.
Jordan is described by the ancient tribes listed in these verses – Edom, Moab, and Ammon. The Ishmaelites, children of Ishmael, make up the bulk of the modern Arab world. The Hagarenes were children of Hagar. Gebal was a city on the Mediterranean, twenty-five miles north of Beruit. In Greek and Roman times it was called Biblos because of the manufacture of papyrus there. Today the city is called Jebeil. It was listed along with Tyre in Lebanon.
The Philistines or Palestinians are listed. Also, there is some evidence that among the Palestinians are descendants of ancient Edom. Amalek and Assur also have offspring among the Arabs today! Incredible, but there it is. It seems to be a 3,000 year-old description of Israel’s modern enemies along with their attempt to destroy G-d’s Chosen People in 1982-1983! Verse 14-16 indicate that the conflict will continue.
[14] As the fire burneth a wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire;
[15] So persecute them with thy tempest, and make them afraid with thy storm.
[16] Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O LORD.
The Song of Moses (Ps. 90-100) appears to bring Israel’s continuing conflict to a glorious conclusion with the coming of the Messiah.
The number 83 comprise the Hebrew word meaning ‘unripe figs.’ The fig tree put forth its leaves in 1948, but now the fruit appears. We can be sure Israel will someday bear fruit. Psalm 1:3 reminds us, he (Israel) shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season.. In the millennium Israel will be placed at the head of the nations!

Sabbatical-Messianic Prevail
[Ps. 81:3] Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.
This verse refers to Rosh Hashanah, the Feast of Trumpets and the blowing of the shofar. Prophetically, the holiday looks forward to that future time when the heavenly trumpet will sound to raise the dead and set the judgment. According to rabbinical teachings, Resurrection day should come on a future Rosh Hashanah. Even the number 81 is comprised of two letters meaning ‘to blow’. On September 11, 1980, the Jewish people celebrated Rosh Hashanah (New Years Day) for the Jewish year 5741 (1980-81). It marked the end of a sabbatical year (shemittah) and pointed up the importance of its prophetic significance. Ps. 81 represented the first of the next seven years. Many dates were set for the Rapture in 1981. Though it did not represent the beginning of the Tribulation Period, Rosh Hashanah did seem to mark a milestone in Prophetic fulfillment. It showed that the Psalms may be prophetically aligned with the sabbatical cycles of this century. There is something important to be learned by students of prophecy.
In a 1875 article entitled ‘Chrono-messianism,’ Rabbi Ben Zion Wacholder presented a Jewish perspective on the prophetic significance of the sabbatical year along with the jubilee. He reported that in ancient times, the rabbis believed that the Messiah would come in a post-sabbatical year and that Daniel’s seventy weeks were actually seventy set of seven-year cycles (shavuah), each concluding with a sabbatical year (shemittah). Further, he noted that they covered a total 490 years which included ten jubilees – the seventieth week of Daniel’s prophecy would conclude with the final jubilee. According toe Christian theologians, the prophecy was interrupted after sixty-ning weeks by the rejection of Messiah. He was cut off, but not for himself (Daniel 9:26) at Calvary. The seventieth week (Shavuah) was held in abeyance until the end of this dispensation of New Testament Christianity. It should become the seven year Tribulation Period.
Rabbi Wacholder also reported that the year of the Bar Kochba revolt (A.D. 132/33) happened to be the only jubilee date recorded in history. The dates of all other jubilees did not survive. This one historical account, however, may be enough to allow scholars to calculate when the next jubilee should occur-provided Israel restores Temple worship (a pre-requisite to the observance of jubilee).
Daniel’s 69th week ended on the 42nd year of the jubilee cycle. The 70th week should comprise the 43rd through the 49th year and concluded with a jubilee. According to Wacholder’s calculations, John the Baptist began preaching along the banks of the Jordan River at Passover in the year 28, which was a sabbatical year and the 42nd year of the jubilee cycle. It marked the end of Daniel’s 69th, week. Y’Shua was baptized six months later upon the conclusion of the sabbatical year and at the beginning of the 43rd year A.D. 34/35 was the 49th year of the cycle and the jubilee.

According to the Encyclopedia Judaica ‘Elijah told Judah, the brother of Sala Hasida, ‘The world will endure not less than 85 Jubilees, and on the last jubilee the Son of David will come.’ But we can never box in the Father, He is sovereign.
Modern Israel celebrated the sabbatical year in 1980/81; the true sabbatical year may have actually been 1981/82. If Rabbi Wacholder’s calculations are correct, then the trumpet of Psalm 81 may have opened the sabbatical year instead of closing it. The difference among the Jewish authorities as to the correct shemittah year is due to the varied interpretation of the words ‘closing of shebi’it,’ as meaning either the last year of the cycle or the year after the cycle. The burning of Herod’s Temple in A.D. 70 was written as having been burned ‘in the closing of the shemittah.’ Such problems with dates as these may have caused Y’Shua to say, …in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
[5] This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language that I understood not.
These verses contain the last reference to Egypt in this portion of the Psalms. It marks the conclusion of Israel's confrontation and negotiation with Egypt. Ironically, it alludes to the year of Sadat's death - thus ending an era.
[10] I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
These verses contain the last reference to Egypt in this portion of the Psalms. It marks the conclusion of Israel’s confrontation and negotiation with Egypt. Ironically, it alludes to the year of Sadat’s death – thus ending an era.
The assassins encountered little resistance in the first minute as Sadat’s bodyguards and security forces dived for cover. Chairs were thrown over Sadat in a futile attempt to protect his life. It was bloody chaos. Sadat took seven bullets. He didn’t have a chance. Running out of ammunition, the attackers ran for the truck and military police opened fire. In the end, one of the assassins was killed and the other three wounded. In the first moments, Jehan tried desperately to get her husband but was forced down by security guards who feared for her life. A helicopter was summoned, arrived four minutes later, and Jehan accompanied her husband’s body to Maadi Military Hopital, south of Cairo. “I knew he was finished,” said Mubarak, who escaped with only cuts on his left hand. “I saw all the blood, I just couldn’t believe it.”
Thus ended a epoch – Egypt had vowed a vow unto the L-rd…and made a sacrifice of the great one who delivered them (as predicted in Isaiah 19:20-21). In prophetic concurrence, Ps. 81 concludes all references to Egypt in the Leviticus section of the Psalms. Sadat was dead.
In the following Numbers division, there is a verse (Ps. 95:10) which says, Forty years long was I grieved with this generation… but the subject of the verse is Israel’s wilderness sojourn, not their confrontation with Egypt. Another verse in Psalm 99:7 says, He spoke unto them in the cloudy pillar: they kept his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them. Yet again, the passage is not of Egypt, but Israel.
There is a passage in Ps. 105:17-41 which reminds Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham (v. 23). Finally, Ps. 106:7 reminds the Jews, Our fathers understood not they wonders in Egypt;…
These passages refer primarily to Israel’s relationship to G-d rather than to their confrontation with Egypt. Ps. 81, therefore, rightly disposes of the subject.

Glistering Reflection
As I sit along side the river I noticed how the water glistens in the reflection of the sun. How marvelous the diamond-like radiance sparkled as it danced upon the water!
Father, we are to shine and dance as we grow closer and closer to the Son also. You said if ‘one had ears to hear and eyes to see, along with obedience to Your Word’ then we too could be in united with creation, as it was in the Garden of Eden. We need to take back what was stolen!
The leaves of the trees clapped their hands; the birds sing love songs onto the King. Even the rocks cry out their praises, while the flowers and plants turn their heads toward the Light, should we not do the same?
We must all go swiftly into the heavenly chambers, were all life glistens with Your glory, for our spirits are not earthbound. The gentle breeze of the Holy Spirit blows sweet fragrance of Your presents to quiet our souls.
You are calling many of Your warriors home to be witnesses to the up-coming events that must take place. You are redirecting life’s paths to those who have been left behind to pick up the banner to march onward. Retreat is not an option; we must stand our ground and take back what the adversary has stolen, that You will receive all the glory, for each battle could not be won with out Your guidance. All we need to do is keep our eyes and our trust on You. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world!
Help us to purify ourselves and wash our garments, not letting the oil in our lamps to run out at the midnight hour. That we are found weary in well doing, we must be found ready and waiting, watching and expecting.
I decree and declare for all warriors to step forth, that means men, women, sons and daughters to join the Father’s army that they may shine in glistering reflection of His glory.
