Through The Fog
Looking through the fog we see only in part. Things are not always as they appear, that is why the Father said we see in part where He sees the whole picture.
In what appears calm and peaceful there is a disturbance and rumbling going on.
There seems to be frustration drifting through the atmosphere causing havoc among the people. The enemy is shooting his fiery darts in every direction.
This is the year to develop strong discernment and obedience for the Father’s glory.
One must get into the Word and apply it to their own lives. Obedience is what we will be held accountable for. We need His discernment to distinguish between good or bad, comparing it to His Word. G-d is the same yesterday as today. What He has said is bad is bad! What He has called good is good!
Don’t be fooled by the majority for they are going down the wrong path.
Do you have your armor on?
Are you prepared to make a stand?
Is your attitude Messiah like?
Part of being Messiah like is suffering for His cause. He bore the cross alone, will you stand with Him?
With Him all things are possible; you can’t accomplish it on your own.
Everyone hears two voices whispering daily in their ears – which one do you follow?
Remember Y’Shua said ‘satan get behind Me’.
If one can fight ten-thousand then two can fight twenty-thousand.
Let us join G-d’s army and see it to the end.
Not all things are as they appear – look past the fog then you will see clearly in which direction to go, then hold your ground.
Soon and very soon for the time of the gentiles are over, judgment day is coming closer. The clock is ticking.
Do you have oil in your lamp? Are you prepared? Don’t be caught unaware.
For Eternity
People sweat and toil daily as they go about their tasks in life. But if people can’t or won’t do it joyfully – would it all matter in eternity?
People fight battles left and right over every little thing – would it matter in eternity?
Yes, people may become disappointed over all the little things that won’t matter in eternity!
People need to remember ‘this is the day the L-rd has made and I will rejoice in it’ the L-rd commands. Can not people be joyful in the positions they are in?
Why do people struggle to be the head and not the tail or the tail and not the head? Are people not to walk side by side working together for the common good?
Scripture says ‘sufficient is today, tomorrow with take care of its self’.
Why do people refer to themselves as ‘slaves’ to family, friends and their work?
Isn’t being a joyful servant to one another what people were called to do? Scripture said what we do to one another we do to Him. That in itself should make us more thoughtful to one another.
People want more and more in this life taking and not giving. Is it self that matters in eternity?
Getting through this life, running a good race will determine were they will spend eternity.
People must start putting others needs before their own. Life is not about individual self, but standing by each other in support, holding their arms up when they become weary,
Encouraging people to seek out the Father’s will for their lives. And to be obedient and faithful to His plan is what people should be doing.
The Good Book says ‘His will be done in earth, as it is in heaven’, people can create their own atmosphere to walk in daily. People need to conduct themselves in what really will matter in eternity.
Watch your tongue for it will bring life or death to another. Encourage; and uplift one another. There comes a time when one may need correction that is given in a loving way. Sharing from ones personal life may keep another from falling into the same type of pit, (if they heed your advice or seek out another’s). But most people have to learn the hard way.
It is our experiences in life that help us grow as long as we learn from them and don’t keep repeating the same mistakes.
Eternity is where people will get their rewards. So do not be weary in well doing.
Triumphant Over Circumstances
Palm trees are noted for their unique beauty and almost invariably grow erect and straight. Its life is in the center, or the heart, of the tree. It is not at the circumference, under the bark, as is the case with most trees. The palm tree is master over virtually all circumstances. The palm flourishes even is barren desert areas were no other plant life could exist, drought, heat, wind - no matter what may prevail, the palm tree triumphs. It is not dependent on such circumstances but is triumphant over them. The people of G-d should, like the palm tree, flourish and be triumphant over all circumstances - wind, storm, drought or deluge.
Palm trees and branches have long been used as symbols of victory. Palm trees are nourished from springs of water hidden beneath the surface of the earth. They have large, deep roots, and those roots go many feet into the earth until they find water for nurture. This hidden source is the secret of their triumph. This is precisely the secret of the Believers life: we are not nourished by the outward things of the world by a secret spring of living water - the Holy Spirit, who is dwelling within us and strengthening our inner man.
Palms are used for constructing houses and providing both the framework and the covering. This passage conveys both a divine exhortation and a divine expectation. Beauty, uprightness, inner life and strength, mastery over circumstances, nourishment from the divine Source and compassion to mankind - all these are to be manifestations of the true Believers life.
Number Our Days
[90:3] Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.
[4] For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
This Psalm was dedicated to Reuben, the theme of each of the eleven psalms relates to a specific trib. The theme of each follows the Mosaic blessing given on the Lawgiver’s last day of his life in Deut. 33. Psalm 90 speaks of repentance (return), ye children of men. Reuben introduced the principle of complete repentance to the world. Repentance will bring about the conversion of Israel in the predicted Tribulation Period.
These eleven psalms (90-100) must be the rest of the song of Moses which begins in Deut. 32 and is referred to in Rev. 15:1-3 John’s vision takes us into heaven to see the saints around the throne of G-d. These series of psalms deal with the Tribulation Period.
[10] The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
There are two verses in this psalm which deal with prophetic numbers – 4 and 10.
Verse 4, Moses implies that the six days of creation represent 6,000 years of human history and that the seventh day foreshadows the seventh millennium – the future Sabbath Rest. Peter (2 Peter 3:8) referred to this verse when he wrote ‘But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the L-rd as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
We are approaching the end of the sixth millennium of human history. The Great Sabbath Rest should be just ahead. To be more specific, Moses wrote of the last generation in this verse.
The passage implies that the last generation should be somewhere between seventy and eighty years, and those years after seventy will be filled with labor and sorrow. Perhaps those will be included in the years of tribulation.
[12] So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Ps. 90:12-13 is posed by Moses. So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. The People are digging into the Word. They are trying to number their days, and from all indications their question is about to be answered.
This is not a message for Gentile Christianity. Dates cannot be calculated before the predicted seven years begins. However, it should not be difficult for the Jewish people to count the days once the Tribulation Period sets in. when the abomination of desolation occurs in the middle of those predicted seven years, the faithful can reckon that the Messiah will come in another three and a half years. During that time, the remnant will rely heavily on the prophecies recorded in Scripture.
[13] Return, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.
This is the cry of repentant Israel. The remnant will realize that Messiah has already come once so they pray, Return! The question, How long? is asked eighteen times in the Psalms. The question was posed in previous psalm and is repeated here. The final How long? will be found in Psalm 94 which calls fore the appearing of Messiah on the day of His vengeance.
Psalm 90 is one of the eleven psalms written by Moses. They were each dedicated to one of the 12 sons of Jacob. Only Simeon was excluded from this list. Why was Simeon left out? Simeon was a prophetic characteristic of the children of Israel. His name means ‘hearing.’ That trait has been missing from among the Jews for two thousand years. Isaiah wrote concerning unbelieving in 6:9-10.
Y’Shua invoked this prophecy against his generation in Matt. 13:14. ‘And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, be hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand…’ Later Paul repeated the prophecy against the elders of the synagogue in Rome (Acts 28:25-26. Romans 11:7-8 says: ‘…the rest were blinded’ (according as it is written) ‘G-d hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they shall not see, and ears that they should not hear’, Paul did not leave his people in despair, but promised their redemption at the end of the fullness of the Gentiles’ (Rom. 11:11-12, 15) ‘to provoke them to jealousy..’. Serpents are deaf!
When Joseph, governor of Egypt, sent his brothers back to fetch Benjamin, he kept Simeon in prison to assure their return. Prophetically, Joseph represents the rejected Messiah, who, in the end, will be revealed to his repentant brethren. Simeon was detained as a prophetic type of Israel’s refusal to hear and consider their true Savior.
Also, Psalms 90-100 are the ‘serpent’ psalms. The number 9 is means ‘a serpent. The number 10 means ‘a hand’.
Amos 5:18-19 wrote: ‘Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light. As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall and a serpent it him.
In 1948 Israel dispensed with the lion (Great Britain). Someday Israel will face the bear (the Soviet Union). Israel will also rise up the house (Tabernacle of David on the Temple site) and will be bitten on the hand by a serpent (the abomination of desolation committed by the antichrist). This is an amazing prophecy hidden in the component numbers that make up the number 90.
Gloomiest Psalm
[Ps. 88:3] For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave.
[7] Thy wrath lieth hard upon me,…
[15] I am afflicted and ready to die…
[16] Thy fierce wrath goeth over me; thy terrors have cut me off.
A song or Psalm for the sons of Korah, to the chief Musician upon Mahalath Leannoth, Maschil of Heman the Ezrahite. Though the psalm was written for the sons of Korah, its auther was Herman. He was appointed along with Asaph and Ethan to sound cymbals (1 Chron. 15:19) in the processional for bringing the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem. Ps. 88 was delivered to the chief Musician, Chenaniah (1 Chron. 15:22), who instructed the psalm to be played upon ‘Mahalath, a term meaning ‘sickness’ or ‘forgiveness’. Meiri identifes Mahalath as a special musical instrument that moves the listener to anguish and tears. Leannoth means ‘afflicted.’ Its music served to afflict and upset the listener so much that he is prepared to repent with utter sincerity. V. 3, 7, 15-16. It is the gloomiest psalm found in the scripture.
The random verses point out the utter despair of the Jews whose lives have been ‘an endless chain of tragedy. They feel that every type of punishment inflicted upon the world has smitten them. On December 8, 1987, Palestinian residents began throwing rocks at their neighbors. It developed into the so called ‘Intifada’ and continues unto this day. News sources took up the Palestinian drum-beat and tried to make the Israeli government look like heartless and cruel occupiers of Palestinian territory. The Israeli arm has tried to calm the situation but is condemned by the news media at every opportunity. It is a continuing problem. Perhaps we could call it a trap into which Israel been snared and from which there seems no escape.
The prediction is that someday, the Jews will enter upon a time of unparalleled trouble. There has never been anything like it in history. The life of he Israeli nation will draw neat to the grave. Their souls will be filled with trouble-a key word from which comes the term ‘tribulation’.
Some day a world dictator will plot the enslavement of mankind. This antichrist will lay a trap through which he will plot the genocide of the Jews. In a manner similar to that of Adolf Hitler, he will deceived the world. The antichrist will offer what appears to be a perfect plan for world peace. But beware! It will be a trap by which he will attempt to ensnare not only Israel, but the entire world. The entire episode will culminate with G-d’s judgment upon those who plot against His Chosen People.
[8] Thou hast put away mine acquaintance far from me; thou hast made me an abomination unto them…
Since 1987 Israel has certainly received a bad press among the Gentile nations.
Mystery Babylon
[PS. 87:4] I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there.
On September 22 through October 22, 1987, a World Music Festival was held in the old city of Babylon, fifty five miles south of Baghdad, Iraq. The festival continued for a month in Babylon’s 2,000 year old amphitheatre to celebrate the restoration of Babylon, including the Hanging Gardens and Tower of Babel by the government of Iraq. Musical groups included ballet troupes from the Soviet Union and France; opera from Italy; folk dancers from Greece, Turkey, Poland, and Yugoslavia; flamenco artist from Spain; and Bedouin dancers from Saudi Arabia. Could this be a fulfillment of Ps. 87?
The reference to Rahab could also be a symbol connecting the notorious harlot of the days of Joshua with the mystery religion of ancient Babylon. It seems that G-d has thus promised to reveal the harlot Babylon to those who desire to know the mystery. The Apostle John (Rev. 17:5) called her MYSTERY, BABLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. Over the centuries, BABYLON THE GREAT has remained a mystery. Perhaps soon, she will be revealed!
According to Unger’s Bible Dictionary, the term Rahab as used in this passage refers to a ‘sea monster’. Nelson’s Illustrated Bible Encyclopedia calls it ‘Rahab the Dragon – a mythological sea monster or dragon representing the evil forces of chaos…as it occurs in Job 9:1, Job 26:12, Ps. 89:19, and Isaiah 51:9…’
The O.T. usage compares perfectly with MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, seen by John as a harlot upon a seven-headed dragon in Rev. 17:3-5. Isaiah’s (51:9) makes it clear: Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut Rabab, and wounded the dragon? Perhaps then, Rahab and Babylon in Ps. 87 refers to the Revived Roman Empire predicted to dominate the world under the leadership of the antichrist during the Tribulation Period.
The mystery city will be destroyed as related in Ps. 89:10-11! Ethan completes the picture of G-d’s judgment upon the harlot city as he wrote, Thou has broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong are. The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine:… This is the kind of proiphetic description given in Rev. 17-18. The wicked city is destroyed.
…behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia – as a prophecy, it should be noted that Ethiopia is listed in Ez. 38:5 as an ally of Magog in their future invasion. Tyre could be the location of invasion route (from the north). Philistia is an ancient name for the modern Palestinians and may refer to the PLO. The verse to participants in the future Battle of Gog and Magog which also may be described in the previous psalm (86:14): as a possible reference to 1987, our attention is drawn to the alliance with is building against Israel.
[5] And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.
[6] The LORD shall count, when he writeth up the people, that this man was born there. Selah.
4-6 When the time has come for Mystery Babylon to be revealed and for the Battle of Gog and Magog to ravage the world, G-d will appoint and seal 114,000 Jews for a special ministry. When 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes are chosen, they will need to present their genealogies. Each must prove his tribal ancestry. Therefore, it is written, this man was born there, … A prophetic reference seemingly is made to the choosing of the 144,000 as the sons of Korah wrote, The LORD shall count.

The definition of the number 87 meaning ‘refined gold, purified, a epithet (metaphor) of gold, it is distinguished from common gold. Separate and purify by fire, leaping for joy and dancing. This ancient rendering, however, seems to have almost fallen into disuse among the Hebrews. This meaning may be important when considering the future Jewish remnant (144,000) who will be separated and sealed in their foreheads, as opposed to the ‘mark of the beast’ in the foreheads of wicked mean representing the ordinary gold of Mystery Babylon. The Jewish remnant will be tried in the fires of the Tribulation Period. When they restore Temple worship, they will leap for joy, but when the abomination of desolation occurs, they will flee as a gazelle. Some say the melting point of gold is 1948 degree Fahrenheit! Some say 1945.4 is the exact melting point. Adolph Hitler committed suicide int eh fourth month of 1945! Perhaps as that point the gold of G-d’s Chosen People was melted. Their hearts were thus prepared to return to their Promise Land.
[7] As well the singers as the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs are in thee.
At least we can say it was a token fulfillment of the future MYSTERY BABYLON.
The processional for bringing the Ark of the Covenant must include the singers and players of instruments. Just when the Ark will be returned or taken to the Temple Mount is not known, but the general feeling is that the momentum is building for that predicted event. The sons of Korah were members of the Kohathites who carried the Ark. Ps. 73-89 are positioned in such a way as to present the processional. It may be the duty of the 144,000 to return the Ark to the Temple site, set up the Tabernacle of David and restore the Priesthood at or near the beginning of the Tribulation.
