The Beacon

Does your life sometimes seem to be in turmoil? Everything you do seem to be criticized! But if one can focus in and look far into the horizon you would see a beacon of light. It appears very far away and very small but if you head towards the Light and focus on it all things will come to pass. Sure you may have to walk through a lot of turmoil and you may even get blown from side to side but if you keep your eyes on that small beacon it will get larger and brighter. The Light will keep you on the right path and plant your feet on firm ground. Many fowl will surround you but focusing on the Light, they will scatter far from you and cause you no harm. Romans 8:35 says ‘Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?’ It is through our trials in this life that we grow to maturity. Without any pain we would never know happiness. To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: Ecc. [3:2] A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; [3] A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; [4] A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; [5] A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; [6] A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; [7] A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; [8] A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace. [9] What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth? [10] I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it. [11] He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. [1 Cor. 24] Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. [25] And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. [26] I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: [27] But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
