Firelighter

Malachi 3:2-3
He is like a refiner’s fire…and he shall purify and purge them as gold and silver.
The Scriptures say three things about G-d:
1. G-d is love - passion, heat.
2. G-d is light – principle, energy.
3. G-d is a consuming fire – the result of the combination of heat and light.
John the Baptist said in Matt. 3:11-12: …He will baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire. Whose fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly purge His floor, and gather His wheat into the garner; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
He’ll put everything in its place before G-d, and everything false will be burned up like chaff.
Fire does one of two things to whatever it comes in contact with: It either destroys or purifies, baptizes or consumes. The difference between heaven and hell is only the condition of the heart subjected to the fire.
If we are to be like G-d, who is the ultimate firelighter; then we are to be minnie firelighters. Igniting fires in the Word, filled up with the Spirit, and walking in the callings of His people
Let your cry be: Purify me until Your will is mine, and I am molded in Your image.
