[Ps. 139:1] O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me. All the motions and actions both of our inward and of our outward man are naked and open before him.
[2] Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. He confesses that neither our actions, thoughts or any part of our life can be hid from G-d. G-d knows me and all my motions, my downsitting to rest, my uprising to work, with what temper of mind I compose myself when I sit down and stir up myself when I rise up
[3]Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. G-d knows me when I come home, how I walk before my house, and on what errands I go. G-d takes notice of every step we take, every right step and every by-step. He is acquainted with all our ways, he knows what rule we walk by, what end we walk towards, what company we walk with.
[4] For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether. The L-rd knows all my imaginations; He knows my meaning before I speak. Not a vain word, nor a good word, but knows what it meant, from what thought it came, and with what design it was uttered, for thoughts are words to G-d. "Thou understandest them from afar; from the height of heaven thou seest into the depths of the heart,’’ Ps. 33:14. When I am withdrawn from all company, and am reflecting upon what has passed all day and composing myself to rest, G-d knows what I have in my heart and with what thought I go to bed
[5] Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. G-d so guides me with His hand, that I can turn no way, but where He appoint me. Wherever we are we are under the eye and hand of G-d.
[6] Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. G-d hast such knowledge of me as I have not of myself, nor can have. I cannot take notice of all my own thoughts, nor make such a judgment of myself as He has made of me.
[7] Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? From G-d’s power and knowledge, for G-d is everywhere.
[8] If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
[9] If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
[10] Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. G-d’s power holds me so fast that there is no way I can escape from Him. [
11] If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Though darkness is a hindrance to man’s sight, yet is serves G-d’s eyes as well as the light.
[12] Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee. No deceitful mask or disguise can save any person or action from appearing in a true light before G-d. Secret sins are as open before G-d. [13] For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. My reins; G-d is Master of my most secret thoughts and intentions, and the innermost recesses of my soul; thou not only knowest, but governs, them. My mother’s womb - in the forming, and un-sharpen embryo, was not hidden from G-d; His eyes did see my substance. G-d has made me in all parts and therefore must know me.
[14] I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. Considering G-d’s wonderful work in forming me, I cannot but praise Him and fear His mighty power.
[15] My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. That is, in my mother’s womb so privately and so far out of sight.
[16] Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. All the days ordained for me were written IN YOUR BOOK before one of them came to be’. Here is a verse which prophetically symbolizes Israel, declaring that ‘all the days’ were written in the book! The Jerusalem Bible is equally astounding; ‘You have scrutinized my every action, all were recorded in your book, my days listed and determined, even before the first of them occurred.’ My members – is not part of the original Hebrew Scriptures. They were added by the translators. It was to be days. Reading: “in thy book all my days were written, which in continuance Chorological order) were fashioned when as yet there was none of them.] Seeing that G-d knew me before I was composed of either flesh or bone, much more now must G-d know me when G-d have fashioned me.
[17] How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! G-d, who knew me, thought of me, and His thoughts towards me were thoughts of love, thought of good, and not of evil, Jer. 29:11. We cannot conceive how many G-d’s kind counsels have been concerning us, how many good turns He has done us, and what variety of mercies we have received from Him.
[18] If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee. I continually see new opportunity to meditate in G-d’s wisdom, and to praise Him. It would help to keep us in the fear of the L-rd all the day long if, when we awake in the morning, and our first thoughts were of Him and we did then set Him before us.]
[19] Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men. [Depart from me, you bloody men; you shall not debauch me, for I will not admit your friendship nor have fellowship with you; and you cannot destroy me, for, I am under G-d’s protection, He shall force you to depart from me.’’
[20] For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain. They set their mouth against the heavens (Ps. 73:9), and shall be called to account for the hard speeches they have spoken against Him, Jude 15. They are His enemies, and declare their enmity by taking His name in vain.
[21] Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? He teaches us boldly to contemn all the hatred of the wicked and friendship of the world, when they would prevent us from serving Him sincerely.
[22] I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies. Sin is hated, and sinners are lamented, by all that fear G-d. "I hate them’’ (that is, "I hate the work of them that turn aside,’’ Ps. 101:3) "with a sincere and perfect hatred; I count those that are enemies to G-d as enemies to me, and will not have any intimacy with them,’’ Ps. 69:8.
[23] Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: I desire that as far as I maybe in the wrong, G-d would show it to me. [24] And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Or any terrible or rebellious way: meaning that though I am subject to sin, yet I may not give to wickedness, and to provoke G-d by rebellion. The way of godliness is an everlasting way; it is everlastingly true and good, pleasing to G-d and profitable to us, and will end in everlasting life.
Mystery Babylon
[Ps. 137:1] By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.
[2] We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.
[3] For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. [4] How shall we sing the LORD’s song in a strange land? This psalm appears to be written as a prelude to 138-145. the prophecy begins here with the introduction of Mystery Babylon, thus introducing seven years of Tribulation and concluding with the glorious appearing of the Messiah in Psalm 144, followed by a psalm of praise (145). Psalms 138-145 were written by David. Though Psalm 137 was not authored by him, it nevertheless sets the stage for those events predicted in David’s psalms. The prophetic implications appear to be both progressive and chronological. This psalm addresses the subject of the Babylonian captivity following the destruction of Solomon’s Temple with strong prophetic implications to Babylon’s future mystery daughter, Babylon the Great. Prophetically, the lament of the 144,000 can be seen in verses 5-7:
[5] If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.
[6] If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.
[7] Remember, O LORD, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof. The memory of the Temple’s destruction is kept alive in every facet of Jewish life. A Jewish home has at least one unpainted rick or board. Every garment has one small part soiled. At every wedding a glass is broken-all to keep the remembrance of a destroyed Temple. Prophetically, a restoration of Temple worship will be forthcoming at or near the beginning of the Tribulation. The Tabernacle of David will be set up on the Temple site (Amos 9:11-12). According to prophets there is at least one more desecration of the Temple site-the abomination of desolation. It is ironic that Edom is mentioned here, for that will be the destination of the fleeing 144,000 when Jerusalem is surrounded by armies and the antichrist commits the abomination that makes the Temple Mount desolate. The Babylonian Captivity set the stage for the ‘Times of the Gentiles’ - a term used to describe, the great world empires which, having begun with Babylon, will end with her mystery daughter, Babylon the Great.
[8] O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us. Mystery Babylon may be the capital of the antichrist. The great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth (Rev. 17:18), will be destroyed sometime during the Tribulation. By the middle of those seven years the antichrist will move to Jerusalem and take over the government. He will enter the Temple Mount, establish his throne, and claim to be the Messiah. He will demand a mark be accepted in the right hand or forehead of every person on earth as a medium of exchange in the marketplace. From that point, however, his kingdom will began to deteriorate-ending in the Battle of Armageddon.
[9] Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones. 8-9 This psalm is just one of six psalms that are generally classified as imprecatory psalms. These are Psalms 55, 59, 69, 79, 109, and 137. There is no author or title to Ps. 137; the scene is pictured as taking place by the river Babylon. Ps. 79 is ascribed to Asaph; the remaining four are from David’s pen, according to the ancient psalm titles. The label imprecatory may be misleading if it is not used to denote its more proper sense of invoking judgment, calamity or curse in an appeal to G-d who alone is the judge of all believers. These invocations are not mere outbursts of a vengeful spirit; they are prayers addressed to the Father. These earnest pleading to G-d ask that He step in and right some matters so grossly distorted that if His held does not come all hope for justice is lost. These are legitimate expressions of longings of OT saints for the vindication that only G-d’s righteousness can bring. They are not statements of personal vendetta, but they are utterances of zeal for the kingdom of G-d and His glory. To be sure, the attacks, which provoked these prayers, were not from personal enemies; rather, they were rightfully seen as attacks against G-d and especially His representatives in the promised line of the Messiah. Thus, David and his office bore the brunt of most of these attacks, and this was tantamount to an attack on G-d and His kingdom! These prayers were the fierce hatred of sin from those who wanted to see G-d’s name and cause victory. Therefore, those whom the saints oppose in these prayers were the fearful byword of wickedness, and praying for G-d speedily to vindicate their own honor and name. In almost every instance, each expression used in one of these prayers of malediction may be found in plain prose statements of what will happen to those sinners who persist in opposing G-d. Happy is used altogether twenty-six times in the book of Psalms. It is used only of individuals who trust G-d. It is not an expression of a sadistic joy in the ruin or destruction of others. It means that G-d will destroy Babylon and her progeny for her proud assault against Him and His kingdom. But those who trust in Him will be blessed and happy. For those who groaned under the terrifying hand of their captors in Babylon there was the prospect of a sweet, divine victory that they would share in as sons and daughters of the living G-d. Dasheth thy little ones against the stones – is usually regarded as being so contrary to the teachings of the NT., but these words are repeated by Y’Shua in Lk. 19:44. The verb in its Greek form is found only in here, the Septuagint, the Greek translation of the Hebrew text and in the lament of Luke. Y’Shua found no more difficulty in quoting this psalm than He did in quoting the other two psalms most filled with prayers of imprecation, namely, 69 and 109. Little ones – the Hebrew word does no specify age, for it may mean a very young or a grown child. The word focuses on a relationship and not on age; as such, it points to the fact that the sins of the fathers were being repeated in the next generation. That the psalmist has located the site of G-d’s judgment in Babylon not only appears to denote this psalm as being composed while Judah was in exile in Babylon but also that there are figurative elements included in this psalm. One thing Babylon was devoid of was rocks or rocky cliffs against which anything could be dashed. In fact there were not any stones available for building, contrary to the rocky terrain of most of Palestine. All building had to depend on the production of sun-dried mud bricks and the use of bituminous pitch for mortar. Therefore when the psalmist speaks of dashing little ones against the rocks, he is speaking figuratively and metaphorically. Close to this metaphorical use of the same phrase is that of 141:6, ‘their rulers will be thrown down from the cliffs.’ But that same psalm adds, ‘and the wicked will learn that My words were well spoken (the literal rendering is sweet).’ If the rulers had been tossed over a cliff, they surely would have had a hard time hearing anything! The point remains: these psalms of cursing do not contain ‘wicked or immoral’ requests or desires. They only plead with G-d that He not let the office of the Messiah or His kingdom be trampled underfoot by the arrogant despisers of those who currently hold that office and throne.

King Hezekiah
The Psalms of Ascent 120-134:
A veil of sadness hung over the city of Jerusalem. There was no singing in the Temple. There was no joy in the streets. The beloved King Hezekiah was dying. He had been a godly ruler and had brought spiritual revival to the country. Idolatry had been put away, and the worship of Jehovah had been encouraged.
Some months before, Jerusalem had been under siege by Sennacherib, the Assyrian king. But because of the prayer life of King Hezekiah, G-d had destroyed the Assyrian forces and had kept the nation free. Now Hezekiah was sick, and the prophet Isaiah had the difficult task of telling the king to set his house in order, for he would not survive.
The sadness over the sickness of the king was compounded by the fact that he did not have a son to succeed him on the throne. With the death of Hezekiah, the royal lineage of the house of David would come an end. But Hezekiah was a godly king, and he knew how to pray.
When news of his impending death reached him, he turned his face to the wall and with tears called upon the G-d who had sustained him through some of the most dramatic moments in history of the kingdom. He reminded the Father of his faithfulness and asked that he might be granted a miracle, He wanted to live. This shows us the Father hears our prayers and loves His faithful students. 2 Kg. 20:5 G-d had granted the godly king another fifteen years to live!
As was the custom in the days of he prophets, Hezekiah asked for a sign to prove the word he had received from Isaiah – the sign was the shadow return backward ten degrees (2 Kg. 20:9-10. It is believed from that day forward, to the astonishment of all the world, the length of the year was changed from 360 days to 365 ¼ days.
The rabbis wrote that Hezekiah changed the calendar in the fifteen remaining years of his life, adding one month to the calendar every six years. It has also been recorded that the Romans and the Egyptians changed their calendars to account for the lengthened year.
Hezekiah composed ten sons to compare with the ten degrees on the sun dial and added to them four songs written by David and one by Solomon to set the total number at fifteen. Those fifteen songs chosen by the recovered Hezekiah are recorded in Psalms 120-134. They are called the ‘Songs of the Degrees.’ So named because of the ten degrees of the sun dial, they are also called the ‘Psalms of Ascent,’ for they were sung by the priesthood as they ascended the fifteen steps of the Temple each year during the Feast of Tabernacles.
It is believed these songs also contain five prophetic prayers of a dispersed Israel.
1. There is a prayer for the restoration of the land to the Jews which corresponds with Genesis.
2. There is a prayer for the restoration of the Jews to their land which corresponds with Exodus.
3. There is a prayer for deliverance from tribulation which corresponds with Leviticus.
4. There is a prayer for deliverance from tribulation which corresponds with Numbers.
5. There is a prayer for the coming of the Messiah to establish a kingdom of peace which corresponds with Deuteronomy.
These fifteen psalms are compiled in five sets of three psalms each. The first psalm in each group offers a cry of distress; the second psalm declares a trust in the L-rd; and the third psalm promises deliverance, blessing, and peace. Furthermore, these five sets follow an outline given in the five divisions of the Psalms:
Ps. 120-122 represent a Genesis period
Ps. 123-125 represent a Exodus period.
Ps. 126-128 represent a Leviticus period.
Ps. 129-131 represent a Numbers period.
Ps. 132-134 represent a Deuteronomy period.
In so doing, they offer a prophetic overview of the events of the last generation, read and learn.
Divine Design
[Ps. 117:1] O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.
Ps. 117 is both the shortest chapter and the middle chapter with 594 chapters before it and 594 chapters after it. There are 39 Books of the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament.
[118:8] It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
This Psalm contains the middle verse of the entire Christian Bible.
There are 1189 Chapters in the Christian Bible, making a total of 1188 chapters apart from the middle chapter – making the number 1188 compare with uncanny accuracy, it is located between the shortest chapter and the longest chapter in the Bible This must be a product of Divine inspiration.
These three psalms were planned to come together for a definite reason – that reason evidently being that the relation of such coincidences would sooner or later strike some searcher of truth, as an illustration of Divine Design and Consequently proof of the Divine inspiration that guided not only the writer of the Psalms, but thousands of years later, the translators of this book into other language.
The design could not have been made by the psalmist who compiled this portion of the Psalms centuries before the New Testament was written or by the others who organized the order of the books. The Old Testament was compiled in its accepted form hundreds of years before the New Testament was compiled in its accepted order.
Psalms 117-119 fit into the center of the Scriptures. By that time they were already there. Only Divine design could have ordered this phenomenon.
This middle verse actually sets the theme of the entire Bible. It’s teaching is the epitome of all Scripture!
[119:11] Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
Ps. 119 has 176 verses and it is located in the fifth book of the Psalms corresponding to the fifth book of Moses – Deuteronomy. The Hebrew title of Deuteronomy is ‘Dabarim’ meaning words taken from Deut. 1:1, These be the words.
The emphasis is upon the Word – the Dabar. Prophetically, it points to Y’Shua HaMashiach who was introduced in the Gospel of John as the Word of G-d! the term is used forty two times (6x7) to highlight the significance of this great psalm. IIt must represent the L-rd Y’Shua. It was He, who, on the evening of resurrection day said all things must be fulfilled concerning Me in (Lk. 24:44; John 1:1, 14: Rev. 19:13).
Ps. 119 follows the theme of the great Dabar as He would be called in Hebrew, or Logos as He is called in Greek. Both are terms translated into English as Word.
The term is found 42 times in this psalm. What a perfect number! It is a multiple of 6 and 7 – six representing the number of man and seven representing the number of G-d. Y’Shua HaMashiach is both man and G-d.
These 176 verses are divided into 22 portions, each containing 8 verses, and named according to the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet. Each section is subdivided into 8 verses, each verse being an iambic tetrameter, namely 16 syllables alternately short and long in the Hebrew language. Still more extraordinary is the fact that every one of the 8 verses of the first section begins with the letter of the Hebrew alphabet: Aleph. Each of the verses of the second section begin with the second letter of the Hebrew alphabet: Beth. Each of the 8 verses of the third section begin with the third letter of the alphabet: Gimel. This extraordinary precision continuing until all the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet are employed.
Not only do they declare the Word 42 times, they are subtitled according to the letters which make up those words. May we reminded that our Savior referred to Himself as the great author of all things when He used the first and last letters of the alphabet to represent all that He is and all that He does. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the L-rd, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty…I m Alpha and Omega, the first and the last (Rev. 1:8,11).
The very name Jesus (in the Greek language) has a numerical value of 888, as opposed the number of the antichrist which is given in Rev. 13:18 as 666. Ps. 119 is the eighth and final acrostic psalm in the great songbook of the Bible. There are two basic numbers found in Ps. 119. There is a nineteen and there is a hundred. How perfect is our G-d! He never misses an opportunity to emphasize the mathematical precision of His great design!
Typicy Antichrist
[Ps. 118:12] They compassed me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.
Two symbols are used in this verse which typify the antichrist – bees and thorns. Midrash described the bees as typical of that final war when G-d gathers all the nations of the world and brings them against Jerusalem. The symbol of the bees was first used in the riddle of Samson the Danite in Jug. 14:14. His bees made honey in the carcass of a lion. Prophetically, they are believed to represent the tribe of Dan killing the Lion of Judah, then producing a utopian world government, represented by the honey. Rabbis considered the possibility that the lost tribe of Dan might produce the antichrist. Could his symbol be the bee?
An example, Joseph Smith, founder of the Morman Church had a group of bodyguards who called themselves ‘Danites.’ When the state of Utah was founded, the Mormon state adopted the honeybee as its symbol
The historic tie goes back to the Spartans of Southern Greece and their cousins, the Trojans. Honey was used as a sacrifice to their idols. Furthermore, Flavius Josephus recorded a letter from the king of the Spartans to the High Priest in Jerusalem claiming descent from the ‘stock of Abraham.’ Could the Spartan king have been a Danite? According to Homer’s ILIAD, the first Spartan king was named DAN-aus. He came by boat from Phoenicia with his fifty daughters who were called DAN-ades. They invented the cult of the mother goddess known as Diana! The people loved their king so much they called themselves DAN-aans before they were called Spartans. History records that they wore their hair long as a symbol of their magical power – just like Samson.
The first Trojan was Dar-DAN-us (another use of Dan) who built the city of Troy along the Dar-Dan-elle waterway leading from the Aegean Sea to the Black Sea. Such uses of the words Dan may be clues to tracing the lost tribe. In the year A.D. 448, a Frankish king named Merovee claimed descent from the Trojans and wore his lair long as a symbol of magical power. His symbolic bees were retrieved from the tomb of his son in 1653. Those three hundred bees became the motif of Napoleon’s reign. They belonged to the Habsburg Dynasty, who were of Merovingian descent. This famous family provided the emperors of the Holy Roman Empire for five hundred years. In fact, all European royalty are cousins.
The thorns take us back to a parable given by Jotham, son of Gideon in Jud. 9:8-15. His wicked brother, Abimelech, became king in Israel and killed almost all of Gideon’s seventy sons. Only Jotham escaped to stand before the elders of Israel on Mount Gerizim where he comparled Abimelech to a bramble bush of thorns. The story is a phophetic scenario of he future dictator who will seek the extermination of all Jews. When Micah described the future day of G-d’s visitation, He wrote in Micah 7:4; the best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity. The wicked thorn hedge will attempt to enslave the world. Perhaps that is why Y’Shua was made to wear a humiliating crown of thorns on the day of His crucifixion. The true Messiah was rejected as an antichrist!
Final Judgment
[PS. 116:14] I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people.
[15] Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
During the Tribulation Period, many of the Jewish remnant may be martyred. This passage is alluded to in the Revelation as the faithful martyrs refuse the mark of the beast in Rev. 14:13. Many of the psalms express, prophetically, the joys and sorrows of the tribulation remnant.
[16] O LORD, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.
[17] I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.
[18] I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people,
[19] In the courts of the LORD’s house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.
The Talmud explains how this psalm describes the day of Final Judgment at the time of the Resurrection of the Dead. The events of these verses are thus placed at the end of this dispensation of Gentile Christianity. Two thousand years ago Israel was set aside by the messiah for the purpose of bringing salvation to Gentiles (Rom. 11:11, 12, 15, 25).
The Jewish nation was not forever forsaken. Their blindness in part was only for the purpose of bringing the Gospel to the Gentiles. The day will come when the fullness of Gentiles will have arrived. At that time, Israel will be reconciled to G-d.
Talmudic scholars say that I will pay my vows unto G-d means they will invoke the ineffable Name of G-d. This is the Name which Jews reverence to be so holy that will not pronounce it or write it. They refer to G-d only as HASHEM (the Name). Jewish publications render G-d as ‘G-d” for fear they will be guilty of taking the Name in vain, thus breaking the written Third Commandment. On the day of their reconciliation, they will speak the Holy Name. The Jewish sage says it will be in the presence of the Gentile Nations, called in verses 14 and 18 as ALL His people. This is a most important admission by Talmudic scholars that Gentile Christians are indeed children of G-d through faith in the Messiah. This recognition will come in the future when Israel pays their vows to G-d in courts of His house that is in Jerusalem on the Temple Mount. The vows will be paid in the location of the Holy Ark.
[117:1] O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.
[2] For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.
The Gentile Christianity will observe this praise celebration of the Great Hallel!
The prophet Amos 9:11-12 gave an indication of how and when this great Praise celebration will take place. Implications are the same day the Ark of the Covenant will be returned to Jerusalem. The Jews will secure a place on the Temple Mount (perhaps north of the Mosque of Omar) and raise the Tabernacle of David. Gentile Christianity will be invited to join Israel in a great praise celebration as the processional brings the Ark back to its resting place on the Holy Mount. This prophecy records the concluding event which closes the fullness of the Gentiles, when Israel is prepared to be reconciled to G-d.
Prophetically, it symbolizes the simplicity of the world order which will prevail after the Advent of the Messiah. Presently, the world is filled with many different groups and nations but in the Messianic Era, there will be only two Groups – Gentile nations who will serve the L-rd and the Children of Israel who will be exalted at eh head of the nations. They will again be our priest and guide teaching us all of G-d’s 613 commandments on how to live godly lives.
Better days are coming!
Refuse To Assimilate
Psalms 114 discusses the first three of five themes highlighted in the Hallel (Praise) Psalms –the exodus from Egypt, the splitting of the sea, and the revelation at Mount Sinai. The fourth theme, the resurrection of the dead, is addressed in Psalm 116:3-9 and fifth theme, the coming of the Messiah, is given in Psalms 118:26. These are Israel’s most revered events both past and future. They constitute their reasons for praise.
This psalm (second of the Hallel) carries the same theme as Psalm 113 – G-d lifts the needy and destitute and gives them nobility. The Chosen People attained this exaltation by their willingness to plunge into the Red Sea. According to verse 1, Israel refused to assimilate themselves into the culture of Egyptians. When Israel went out indicated that the Jewish nation remained Israel, retaining their Jewish names. They maintained their distinct and holy language, refusing to use the language of Egypt. After 210 years, they could still refer to the Egyptians as a people of strange language.
G-d singled out the Tribe of Judah to be royalty. They became His sanctuary because, it is said, they led the way to jump into the Red Sea. At first, Benjamin’s people ran toward the sea and the royal tribe of Judah cried out, “You are committing suicide by jumping into these waters. You deserve to be stoned for this crime.’ But Benjamin argued, “G-d commanded the Children of Israel, to descend into the sea. The forerunners of the other tribes were born while our father was still called Jacob. Only Benjamin was born after Jacob was awarded the title, Israel. Thus, only we Benjaminites are the true Children of Israel and only we are fit to lead the Jewish people triumphantly across the sea.” Though the psalm states that Judah is G-d’s sanctuary, the Temple was built on Mount Moriah at the border between Judah and Benjamin-just inside the territory of Benjamin. Could the fact that Benjamin was changed to Israel be the reason why?
Verse 4-7 Some believe that the entire earth trembled at the splitting of the Red Sea and that every person on the planet felt the tremor. Someday, the earth will again tremble – at the appearance of the Messiah!
The time is running shorter; people need to refuse to assimilate to the worldly ways for it is advancing from bad morals to unbelievable un-godly ways. May we learn from the history of the Chosen People.
Homemade Cough Remedy
The powerful ingredients in this remedy are common everyday items: ginger, cayenne, cider vinegar and honey. Yet they work together to create a potent remedy for cold symptoms. It's definitely worth trying before turning to the medicine cabinet once again this winter.
The serving size (or dosage) will vary depending on the person. Children are able to drink 1-2 teaspoons without a problem. A full tablespoon worked great for me.
Homemade Cough Remedy
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (preferably Bragg's, if available)
2 tablespoons honey (locally produced raw honey is best, if available)
2 tablespoons water
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
Place all the ingredients in a small jar and shake to combine. Leave at room temperature for a few days or place in the refrigerator for longer storage. Shake well each time, before using. The spices will not dissolve into the liquid. It will not be thick syrup, it should remain watery. Take as needed !
Blasphemy
Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost
Matt. 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
Matt. 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
Strongs G988 = blasphemy properly signifies detraction, or slander and reproachful speech damaging to divine majesty.
It is not to be conceived that this arises from any greater sanctity in the one blessed Person than the other. These remark so narrow the question that the true sense of our
L-rd’s words seems to disclose themselves at once. It is a contrast between slandering "the Son of man" in His veiled condition and unfinished work--which might be done "ignorantly, in unbelief" ( 1 Timothy 1:13 ), and slandering the same blessed Person after the blaze of glory which the Holy Ghost was soon to throw around His claims, and in the full knowledge of all that. This would be to slander Him with eyes open, or to do it "presumptuously." To blaspheme the Messiah in the former condition--when even the apostles stumbled at many things--left them still open to conviction on fuller light; but to blaspheme Him in the latter condition would be to hate the light the clearer it became, and resolutely to shut it out; which, of course, precludes salvation. Pharisees had not as yet done this; but in charging Y’Shua with being in league with hell they were displaying beforehand a malignant determination to shut their eyes to all evidence, and so, bordering upon, and in spirit committing, the unpardonable sin.
That sin was the sin against the Holy Spirit. It consisted in charging him with being in league with the devil, or accusing him of working His miracles, not by the “spirit” or “power” of G-d, but by the aid of the prince of the devils. It was therefore a direct insult, abuse, or evil speaking against the Holy Spirit - the spirit by which Y’Shua worked His miracles. That this was what he intended by this sin, at that time, is clear from Mark 3:30, “because they said he had an unclean spirit.” All other sins - all speaking against the Savior himself - might be remitted. But this sin was clearly against the Holy One; it was alleging that the highest displays of G-d‘s mercy and power were the work of the devil; and it argued, therefore, the deepest depravity of mind. The sin of which he speaks is therefore clearly stated. It was accusing Him of working miracles by the aid of the devil, thus dishonoring the Holy Spirit.
All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven - That is, only on condition that people repent and believe. If they continue in this sin they cannot be forgiven, Mark 16:16; Romans 2:6-9.
A word against the Son of man - The Jews were offended at the humble life and appearance of the Savior. They reproached Him as being a Nazarene - sprung from Nazareth, a place from which no good was expected to proceed; with being a Galilean, from Galilee, a place from which no prophet came, John 7:52. Y’Shua says that reproaches of this kind could be pardoned. Reflections on His poverty, on His humble birth, and on the lowliness of His human nature might be forgiven; but for those which affected His divine nature, accusing Him of being in league with the devil, denying His divinity, and attributing the power which manifestly implied divinity to the prince of fallen spirits, there could be no pardon. This sin was a very different thing from what is now often supposed to be the sin against the Holy Spirit. It was a wanton and blasphemous attack on the divine power and nature of the Messiah. Such a sin G-d would not forgive.
Speaketh against the Holy Ghost - The word ghost refers here to the divine nature of the Messiah - the power by which He performed His miracles.
Neither in this world, nor in that which is to come - The Savior meant simply to say that there were “no possible circumstances” in which the offender could obtain forgiveness. He certainly did “not” say that any sin unpardoned here would be pardoned hereafter.
Kinsman-Redeemer
[Ps. 108:6] That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.
[7] God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.
[8] Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;
[9] Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.
[10] Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?
[11] Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?
[12] Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
These verses are basically a repetition of Psalm 60:5-12. Prophetically, they represent an overview of the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians. These verses will ultimately be fulfilled as the Messianic Era develops. The processes for their fulfillment are underway today. Schechem (Nablus) represents an area in Northern Israel occupied since the Six Day War in 1967. It is a part of that territory once known as the West Bank. Gilead is a mountainous area east of the Jordan River Valley. It lies in the territory of Northern Jordan. Half the tribe of Manasseh lived in the Gilead region, and the other half, along with Ephraim, lived in the area around Shechem. All of this, writes David, will one day be given to Israel and Judah, for Judah, he said, is my lawgiver.
Verse 9 puts a prophetic claim upon Moab, Edom, and Philistia. Moab and Edom represent the territory of modern Jordan, south of the capital city, Amman. Philistia, on the other hand, may represent not only the acquisition of Gaza Strip, but also a victory over the militant Palestinian Liberation Organization.
Moab is my washpot, said washpot, said the L-rd – indicating a boiling cauldron. It may refer to a coming conflict between Israel and Jordan.
Over Edom will I cast out my shoe, may be a reference to the Mosaic covenant wherein a kinsman-redeemer has the option to restore the land of a brother in need. If he refused, his shoe is removed in the presence of the town council. Since the children of Esau (twin brother to Jacob) consistently refused to help the Jews in those early centuries it appears that G-d will refuse to redeem Edom. G-d’s shoe is removed as a testimony against them.
The offspring of Edom may comprise at least part of the Palestinians of this generation. The PLO are actually fighting to deprive Israel of its Promise Land. The law of the casting off the shoe may be a prophecy that Israel’s cousins will fall under G-d’s judgment for their unkind actions. In fact, the Jewish remnant will occupy Edom’s ancient capital city of Petra during the last half of the Tribulation Period.
Who will bring me the strong city? Who will lead me into Edom? This verse seems to refer to the fight of the 144,000 Jews who will witness the abomination of desolation perpetrated by the antichrist. The strong city must surely represent the ancient capital of Edom. The rose-red city of Petra carved out of solid rock high in the mountains of Edom may well be destination of the 144,000.
Four Blood Moons
Four Blood Moons by John Hagee Does God use the sun, moon, and stars to communicate with the faithful? The significance of four blood moons and whether they are prophecy from God is to be seen but something Is About to Change. The next four blood moon tetrad falls on the Jewish holy days of Passover and the Feast of Tabernacle. This is set to happen starting in April 2014. It is the only the fourth time in the last five hundred years. To have a blood moon and then for those blood moons to be on this exact date is something that is just beyond coincidental., the Bible very clearly says … the day of the Lord will be as when the sun refuses to shine. He references three previous dates as examples of that. They include the expulsion of the Jews from Spain (1492), the year’s right after Israel was declared a nation-state (1949-50), and the Six-Day War (1967). The problem is that we have not been tuned in nor have we been on the right calendar. Our current calendar is based totally on the sun. It is a very accurate calendar. But it is not the calendar God uses. (Greek vs Hebrew calendar). “In Genesis, concerning the sun, the moon and the stars that He created, He also said, ‘let them determine the seasons, days and years.’ So while most people on this planet use either the sun or the moon to determine their calendar, it is only the ancient biblical calendar used by the Jewish people that God utilizes to get His messages across, the reason why Christians aren’t on the right calendar is due to faulty translations of the Bible from the original Hebrew into English When God said the sun and the moon were to determine the seasons, days and years, He was not talking about winter, spring, summer and fall. The problem is the English translations. The same Hebrew word translated into English as ‘seasons’ in Genesis 1 is translated into English as ‘feasts’ in Leviticus 23:2. The Hebrew word is ‘moed’ and is better translated as ‘divine appointments.’ When it talks about days and years it is referring to determining the Holy days such as Passover and the Feast of Rosh Hashanah and not to Labor Day!” When you consider the last time there were four blood moons in a row … falling on the feast days was in 1967 and 1968 when Israel recaptured Jerusalem. The time before that was the two years right after they became a nation in 1948. You can’t help but stand there with your mouth opened wide with the impeccable timing and signals sent to the world by the Creator of the universe Y’Shua died for our sins on Passover, was buried on the Feast of Unleavened Bread, was resurrected from death on First Fruits, and then sent the Holy Spirit to indwell believers on the Jewish Feast of Pentecost (Shavuot). Over the last 500 years, blood-red moons have fallen on the first day of Passover three separate times. These occurrences were connected to some of the most significant days in Jewish history: 1492 (the final year of the Spanish Inquisition when Jews were expelled from Spain), 1948 (statehood for Israel and the War of Independence) and 1967 (the Six-Day War). Every heavenly body is controlled by the unseen hand of God, which signals coming events to humanity. There are no solar or lunar accidents. The next series of four blood moons occurs at Passover and Sukkot in 2014 and 2015. Joel 2 and Acts 2 both state: "And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness [eclipse] and the moon into blood [eclipse] before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes.” Pastor Hagee says until you see world history from God’s point of view, it makes no sense. Once you accept God’s point of view, world history (past, present and future) becomes crystal clear. God is the judge of all the earth. Anyone that rebels against His authority will either be destroyed or removed. historically those who rebel against God or deviate from His will are chastened. In God’s Word, obedience brings the blessing. Disobedience brings judgment.
Prophetic Amen’s and Hallelujahs
[Ps. 106:48] Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD.(Hallelujah)
Here is the concluding Amen of the seven to be found in the Psalms and the concluding Hallelujah of the four which conclude this Numbers section. These four Hallelujahs and the four Hallelujahs in Revelation 19 declare a rejoicing on the part of
G-d’s people over the fact that the problems which have plagued the human race since the fall of Adam are now ended. Paradise is regained. The Garden of Eden is restored. Humankind is no longer plagued by the great tempter. Satan is bound in the bottomless pit and Messiah sits upon the throne of this world.
These four Hallelujahs in the Numbers section added to the 18 Hallelujahs in the Deuteronomy section make a total of 22 Hallelujahs in the Psalms – one for each of the 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet. It is so fitting since the book of Deuteronomy was originally called “Ha Dabarim,” meaning. “The Words,” and since our Savior was referred to as the Greek equivalent “Logos,” as well as the Alpha and Omega! Hallelujah befits the nature and character of our Savior!
The term Amen was used seven times in the presentation of the Psalms. As insignificant as it may seem on the surface, it is by no means trite. The world Amen used very carefully in the Psalms and throughout the Old Testament to represent prophetic passages. The very word itself has a future tense. It means, “so be it.” Wherever you see the tem Amen in the Old Testament, it has a prophetic implication. It is saying, ‘Let the thing that is done or said come to pass in the future.’
The Psalms are divided into five books which correspond with the five books of Moses. They, in turn, present an outline of future events. A Genesis Period (Ps. 1-4) was predicted for the land of Palestine to be prepared for the Chosen People. And Exodus period (Ps. 1-41) was predicted for the land of Palestine to be prepared for the Chosen People. And Exodus period (Ps. 42-72) was predicted when the Chosen People would return to their land. A Leviticus period (Ps. 73-89) was predicted for the restoration of Temple worship. A Numbers period (Ps. 90-106) was predicted for the world to suffer unparalleled tribulation. Finally, a Deuteronomy period (106-150) was predicted for the Messiah to establish the kingdom.
The first forty-one psalms correspond with the book of Genesis, the last verse of which is closed with two Amens – declaring the Genesis section of the Psalms to be a prophesy.
Ps. 41:13 Blessed be the L-rd G-d of Isael from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen and Amen.
Ps. 42-72 corresponds to Exodus. Like the first book, it is also concluded with two Amens and it thus declared to be a prophecy.
Ps. 72:19 And blessed be His glorious name forever: and let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen and Amen.
Ps. 73-89 make up the third book, corresponding with Leviticus. Again the section is designated as a prophecy. The psalmist declared, ‘so be it, so be it.’
Ps. 89:52 Blessed be the L-rd for evermore. Amen and Amen.
Ps. 90-106 make up the fourth book of the Psalms, which compares with Numbers. It is a prophecy of seven dreadful years at the conclusion of this dispensation. It represents the time of G-D’s wrath. At the end of the Tribulation Period, Messiah will return to this earth to establish a new golden age – the millennial reign of Messiah. Therefore, the Numbers section of the Psalms concludes with a single Amen, followed by a Hallelujah.
Ps. 106:48 Blessed be the L-rd G-D of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the L-RD (Hallelujah).
Though the previous prophetic Psalms conclude with Amen and Amen, the Numbers section ends with a single Amen followed by Hallelujah. By concluding with only one Amen the psalmist declares this section to be the final prophetic passage containing the judgment of G-d.
‘So be it,’ he wrote, but then adds a Hallelujah, for the next and fifth book of the Psalms (107-150) declares not he judgment of G-d, but the blessings of the millennial kingdom.
When you come to Psalms 150, which concludes all five books, you do not find the word Amen. Instead, you find the same word which followed the last Amen of Numbers section. The last word of Psalm 150 declares, Hallelujah.
So there you have it – seven Amens found in the Psalms which declare them to be a prophetic design.
Ps. 106 offer a humbling reminder of how the Chosen People have provoked the anger of G-d, only to be forgiven and avenged.
The number 106 means ‘a rule for measuring the wicked’, men will be judged by the rules. There will be a basis or rule of Law by which Messiah judge (judgment meaning is ‘meted out,’ another word for ‘vomit,’ the judgment will be concluded and the Messiah will get the job of setting up the kingdom as depicted in the Deuteronomy book, Ps 107-150.
Allegiance to Him
[Ps.104:1] Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty.
This fourth occurrence of the phrase, Bless the L-RD, O my soul compares with the Mosaic book of Numbers and describes the coming of Messiah at the conclusion of the Tribulation in power and great glory. This Numbers refrain also compares with the soul’s struggle between good and evil. It is manifested in the trails and difficulties of live.
[2] Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:
[3] Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:
[4] Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:
[5] Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.
David describes the beauty of Eden and predicts the glory of the kingdom age. The six days of creation with all of its activity brings forth praise to G-d. It is a magnificent planet made in perfect harmony.
[8] They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.
Ecc. 1:7 states: All the rivers run into the sea, yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again. What an accurate description of the facts of the absorption and condensation of water from the sea into clouds and then into rain, by which the equilibrium of sea and land is maintained. Here it states the water going up the mountains as well as down the valleys. 135:7 says He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth: He maketh lightnings for the rain: He bringeth the wind out of His treasuries. The watery vapor is rising from the ocean’s breast in such volume as no pumps ever imagined by man could produce. In the upper sky the cold air condenses the watery vapor and holds it in the clouds. If left there the water will fall again upon the sea, but the verse tells us how this is averted. G-d has made preparation. He brings the wind out of His treasuries. The clouds are borne in silent majesty to the mountains. How are these clouds to become rain? The shock precipitates the rain upon the waiting earth. Thus the Psalmist, inspired by G-d, describes in simple but accurate language what science is today revealing.
[19] He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.
Ps. 104 was chosen to be the ‘Song of the Day’ used on Rosh Chrodesh, the first day of every month. Perhaps it was picked because David made a reference to the new moon in verse 19. Each month in the Jewish calendar begins with a new moon.
[31] The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in his works.
[32] He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.
[33] I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
[34] My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.
It is believed that David’s very purpose for existing was to sing praises to
G-d. In the kingdom age all of the redeemed will praise Him.
[35] Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD.
The fifth occurrence of Bless the L-RD, O my soul compares with the Mosaic Deuteronomy and implies a fifth and final stage of the soul’s development. The soul is released from the body at death and returns to G-d.
This verse also begins the first in a series of four Hallelujahs which declare the end of this section of the Psalms – that portion called the Numbers book. These Hallelujahs.
The Beacon
Does your life sometimes seem to be in turmoil? Everything you do seem to be criticized!
But if one can focus in and look far into the horizon you would see a beacon of light. It appears very far away and very small but if you head towards the Light and focus on it all things will come to pass.
Sure you may have to walk through a lot of turmoil and you may even get blown from side to side but if you keep your eyes on that small beacon it will get larger and brighter.
The Light will keep you on the right path and plant your feet on firm ground.
Many fowl will surround you but focusing on the Light, they will scatter far from you and cause you no harm.
Romans 8:35 says ‘Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?’
It is through our trials in this life that we grow to maturity. Without any pain we would never know happiness.
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
Ecc. [3:2] A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
[3] A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
[4] A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
[5] A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
[6] A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
[7] A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
[8] A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
[9] What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?
[10] I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
[11] He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
[1 Cor. 24] Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
[25] And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
[26] I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
[27] But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
As in the days of Noah?
[Ps. 93:3] The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves.
[4] The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.
There are two possibilities for the fulfillment. Either or both could be under development during the Tribulation Period. First, the flood could be indicative to the world’s most overwhelming war. Rashi, a twelfth century rabbi, wrote that the term is a metaphor for the ‘enemy hordes who seek to sweep Israel away. They raised their voices and threaten Israel with extinction. Even today, Jewish scholars say this refers to the Gentile nations’ who will gather outside the gates of Jerusalem for the final war of Gog and Magog.
G-d is mightier than the noise of many waters, is the subject of Isaiah’s prophecy in 17:12-13. ‘Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters; but G-d shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off…’
Second, the description may well be that of a worldwide flood-perhaps not as devastating as Noah’s deluge, but global, nevertheless. Such a flood could occur during the Tribulation Period when G-d pours out His seven vials of wrath upon an unbelieving world. An exploding sun could melt the polar caps. You may recall Y’Shua said in Matt. 24:37, But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.’ Furthermore, the angel Gabriel spoke of a flood to Daniel 9:26, when he said …and the end thereof shall be with a flood….
The Revelation account of seven angels pouring out seven vials of G-d’s wrath could produce a flood which would update all of the coastal areas of the world. As the fourth angel pours out his vial of wrath upon the sun, mean are scorched with fire. This could be describing a nova or explosion of our sun. if such a thing were to occur, it is estimated that temperatures could get as high as six hundred degrees. The heat of the sun could melt the polar caps, thus raising the levels of eh oceans some fifteen to twenty feet. This would produce a worldwide flood.
As the fifth angel pours out his vial of wrath, darkness covers the earth. This could be the result of such a nova. Were our sun to explode, the brilliance would last only a short time, then there would be darkness. Joel described such a scene in 2:31, ‘The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the G-d. Isaiah 30:26 put it this way, ‘The light of the moon, shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold..’ Yet in another passage, Isaiah 13:10 depicted the opposite, ..’the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.’
Thus the fourth and fifth vials become clear. When the sun explodes, there could be a short period of heat that would melt the polar caps, dry out the rivers (including the Euphrates), and create huge clouds around the world producing hurricanes, tornadoes, and hailstones weighing a hundred pounds a piece. Tectonic pressures will cause earthquakes, level mountains, and move coastlines as described in Rev. 16. one thing is certain, Ps. 93 prepares the world for the day of G-d’s vengeance.
This psalm is a direct continuation of Ps. 92 and is designated as the ‘Song of the Day’ for the sixth day of the week, because on that day G-d completed His work and donned the grandeur of His creation. The footsteps of Sabbath begin to be heard. It is the fourth psalm of Moses and is dedicated to Benjamin, in whose territory (Jerusalem) the Temple will build. Indeed, the Temple will be rebuilt- apparently in the near future.
Through The Fog
Looking through the fog we see only in part. Things are not always as they appear, that is why the Father said we see in part where He sees the whole picture.
In what appears calm and peaceful there is a disturbance and rumbling going on.
There seems to be frustration drifting through the atmosphere causing havoc among the people. The enemy is shooting his fiery darts in every direction.
This is the year to develop strong discernment and obedience for the Father’s glory.
One must get into the Word and apply it to their own lives. Obedience is what we will be held accountable for. We need His discernment to distinguish between good or bad, comparing it to His Word. G-d is the same yesterday as today. What He has said is bad is bad! What He has called good is good!
Don’t be fooled by the majority for they are going down the wrong path.
Do you have your armor on?
Are you prepared to make a stand?
Is your attitude Messiah like?
Part of being Messiah like is suffering for His cause. He bore the cross alone, will you stand with Him?
With Him all things are possible; you can’t accomplish it on your own.
Everyone hears two voices whispering daily in their ears – which one do you follow?
Remember Y’Shua said ‘satan get behind Me’.
If one can fight ten-thousand then two can fight twenty-thousand.
Let us join G-d’s army and see it to the end.
Not all things are as they appear – look past the fog then you will see clearly in which direction to go, then hold your ground.
Soon and very soon for the time of the gentiles are over, judgment day is coming closer. The clock is ticking.
Do you have oil in your lamp? Are you prepared? Don’t be caught unaware.
For Eternity
People sweat and toil daily as they go about their tasks in life. But if people can’t or won’t do it joyfully – would it all matter in eternity?
People fight battles left and right over every little thing – would it matter in eternity?
Yes, people may become disappointed over all the little things that won’t matter in eternity!
People need to remember ‘this is the day the L-rd has made and I will rejoice in it’ the L-rd commands. Can not people be joyful in the positions they are in?
Why do people struggle to be the head and not the tail or the tail and not the head? Are people not to walk side by side working together for the common good?
Scripture says ‘sufficient is today, tomorrow with take care of its self’.
Why do people refer to themselves as ‘slaves’ to family, friends and their work?
Isn’t being a joyful servant to one another what people were called to do? Scripture said what we do to one another we do to Him. That in itself should make us more thoughtful to one another.
People want more and more in this life taking and not giving. Is it self that matters in eternity?
Getting through this life, running a good race will determine were they will spend eternity.
People must start putting others needs before their own. Life is not about individual self, but standing by each other in support, holding their arms up when they become weary,
Encouraging people to seek out the Father’s will for their lives. And to be obedient and faithful to His plan is what people should be doing.
The Good Book says ‘His will be done in earth, as it is in heaven’, people can create their own atmosphere to walk in daily. People need to conduct themselves in what really will matter in eternity.
Watch your tongue for it will bring life or death to another. Encourage; and uplift one another. There comes a time when one may need correction that is given in a loving way. Sharing from ones personal life may keep another from falling into the same type of pit, (if they heed your advice or seek out another’s). But most people have to learn the hard way.
It is our experiences in life that help us grow as long as we learn from them and don’t keep repeating the same mistakes.
Eternity is where people will get their rewards. So do not be weary in well doing.
Triumphant Over Circumstances
Palm trees are noted for their unique beauty and almost invariably grow erect and straight. Its life is in the center, or the heart, of the tree. It is not at the circumference, under the bark, as is the case with most trees. The palm tree is master over virtually all circumstances. The palm flourishes even is barren desert areas were no other plant life could exist, drought, heat, wind - no matter what may prevail, the palm tree triumphs. It is not dependent on such circumstances but is triumphant over them. The people of G-d should, like the palm tree, flourish and be triumphant over all circumstances - wind, storm, drought or deluge.
Palm trees and branches have long been used as symbols of victory. Palm trees are nourished from springs of water hidden beneath the surface of the earth. They have large, deep roots, and those roots go many feet into the earth until they find water for nurture. This hidden source is the secret of their triumph. This is precisely the secret of the Believers life: we are not nourished by the outward things of the world by a secret spring of living water - the Holy Spirit, who is dwelling within us and strengthening our inner man.
Palms are used for constructing houses and providing both the framework and the covering. This passage conveys both a divine exhortation and a divine expectation. Beauty, uprightness, inner life and strength, mastery over circumstances, nourishment from the divine Source and compassion to mankind - all these are to be manifestations of the true Believers life.
Number Our Days
[90:3] Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.
[4] For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
This Psalm was dedicated to Reuben, the theme of each of the eleven psalms relates to a specific trib. The theme of each follows the Mosaic blessing given on the Lawgiver’s last day of his life in Deut. 33. Psalm 90 speaks of repentance (return), ye children of men. Reuben introduced the principle of complete repentance to the world. Repentance will bring about the conversion of Israel in the predicted Tribulation Period.
These eleven psalms (90-100) must be the rest of the song of Moses which begins in Deut. 32 and is referred to in Rev. 15:1-3 John’s vision takes us into heaven to see the saints around the throne of G-d. These series of psalms deal with the Tribulation Period.
[10] The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
There are two verses in this psalm which deal with prophetic numbers – 4 and 10.
Verse 4, Moses implies that the six days of creation represent 6,000 years of human history and that the seventh day foreshadows the seventh millennium – the future Sabbath Rest. Peter (2 Peter 3:8) referred to this verse when he wrote ‘But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the L-rd as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
We are approaching the end of the sixth millennium of human history. The Great Sabbath Rest should be just ahead. To be more specific, Moses wrote of the last generation in this verse.
The passage implies that the last generation should be somewhere between seventy and eighty years, and those years after seventy will be filled with labor and sorrow. Perhaps those will be included in the years of tribulation.
[12] So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Ps. 90:12-13 is posed by Moses. So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. The People are digging into the Word. They are trying to number their days, and from all indications their question is about to be answered.
This is not a message for Gentile Christianity. Dates cannot be calculated before the predicted seven years begins. However, it should not be difficult for the Jewish people to count the days once the Tribulation Period sets in. when the abomination of desolation occurs in the middle of those predicted seven years, the faithful can reckon that the Messiah will come in another three and a half years. During that time, the remnant will rely heavily on the prophecies recorded in Scripture.
[13] Return, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.
This is the cry of repentant Israel. The remnant will realize that Messiah has already come once so they pray, Return! The question, How long? is asked eighteen times in the Psalms. The question was posed in previous psalm and is repeated here. The final How long? will be found in Psalm 94 which calls fore the appearing of Messiah on the day of His vengeance.
Psalm 90 is one of the eleven psalms written by Moses. They were each dedicated to one of the 12 sons of Jacob. Only Simeon was excluded from this list. Why was Simeon left out? Simeon was a prophetic characteristic of the children of Israel. His name means ‘hearing.’ That trait has been missing from among the Jews for two thousand years. Isaiah wrote concerning unbelieving in 6:9-10.
Y’Shua invoked this prophecy against his generation in Matt. 13:14. ‘And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, be hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand…’ Later Paul repeated the prophecy against the elders of the synagogue in Rome (Acts 28:25-26. Romans 11:7-8 says: ‘…the rest were blinded’ (according as it is written) ‘G-d hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they shall not see, and ears that they should not hear’, Paul did not leave his people in despair, but promised their redemption at the end of the fullness of the Gentiles’ (Rom. 11:11-12, 15) ‘to provoke them to jealousy..’. Serpents are deaf!
When Joseph, governor of Egypt, sent his brothers back to fetch Benjamin, he kept Simeon in prison to assure their return. Prophetically, Joseph represents the rejected Messiah, who, in the end, will be revealed to his repentant brethren. Simeon was detained as a prophetic type of Israel’s refusal to hear and consider their true Savior.
Also, Psalms 90-100 are the ‘serpent’ psalms. The number 9 is means ‘a serpent. The number 10 means ‘a hand’.
Amos 5:18-19 wrote: ‘Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light. As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall and a serpent it him.
In 1948 Israel dispensed with the lion (Great Britain). Someday Israel will face the bear (the Soviet Union). Israel will also rise up the house (Tabernacle of David on the Temple site) and will be bitten on the hand by a serpent (the abomination of desolation committed by the antichrist). This is an amazing prophecy hidden in the component numbers that make up the number 90.
Gloomiest Psalm
[Ps. 88:3] For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave.
[7] Thy wrath lieth hard upon me,…
[15] I am afflicted and ready to die…
[16] Thy fierce wrath goeth over me; thy terrors have cut me off.
A song or Psalm for the sons of Korah, to the chief Musician upon Mahalath Leannoth, Maschil of Heman the Ezrahite. Though the psalm was written for the sons of Korah, its auther was Herman. He was appointed along with Asaph and Ethan to sound cymbals (1 Chron. 15:19) in the processional for bringing the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem. Ps. 88 was delivered to the chief Musician, Chenaniah (1 Chron. 15:22), who instructed the psalm to be played upon ‘Mahalath, a term meaning ‘sickness’ or ‘forgiveness’. Meiri identifes Mahalath as a special musical instrument that moves the listener to anguish and tears. Leannoth means ‘afflicted.’ Its music served to afflict and upset the listener so much that he is prepared to repent with utter sincerity. V. 3, 7, 15-16. It is the gloomiest psalm found in the scripture.
The random verses point out the utter despair of the Jews whose lives have been ‘an endless chain of tragedy. They feel that every type of punishment inflicted upon the world has smitten them. On December 8, 1987, Palestinian residents began throwing rocks at their neighbors. It developed into the so called ‘Intifada’ and continues unto this day. News sources took up the Palestinian drum-beat and tried to make the Israeli government look like heartless and cruel occupiers of Palestinian territory. The Israeli arm has tried to calm the situation but is condemned by the news media at every opportunity. It is a continuing problem. Perhaps we could call it a trap into which Israel been snared and from which there seems no escape.
The prediction is that someday, the Jews will enter upon a time of unparalleled trouble. There has never been anything like it in history. The life of he Israeli nation will draw neat to the grave. Their souls will be filled with trouble-a key word from which comes the term ‘tribulation’.
Some day a world dictator will plot the enslavement of mankind. This antichrist will lay a trap through which he will plot the genocide of the Jews. In a manner similar to that of Adolf Hitler, he will deceived the world. The antichrist will offer what appears to be a perfect plan for world peace. But beware! It will be a trap by which he will attempt to ensnare not only Israel, but the entire world. The entire episode will culminate with G-d’s judgment upon those who plot against His Chosen People.
[8] Thou hast put away mine acquaintance far from me; thou hast made me an abomination unto them…
Since 1987 Israel has certainly received a bad press among the Gentile nations.
Mystery Babylon
[PS. 87:4] I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there.
On September 22 through October 22, 1987, a World Music Festival was held in the old city of Babylon, fifty five miles south of Baghdad, Iraq. The festival continued for a month in Babylon’s 2,000 year old amphitheatre to celebrate the restoration of Babylon, including the Hanging Gardens and Tower of Babel by the government of Iraq. Musical groups included ballet troupes from the Soviet Union and France; opera from Italy; folk dancers from Greece, Turkey, Poland, and Yugoslavia; flamenco artist from Spain; and Bedouin dancers from Saudi Arabia. Could this be a fulfillment of Ps. 87?
The reference to Rahab could also be a symbol connecting the notorious harlot of the days of Joshua with the mystery religion of ancient Babylon. It seems that G-d has thus promised to reveal the harlot Babylon to those who desire to know the mystery. The Apostle John (Rev. 17:5) called her MYSTERY, BABLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. Over the centuries, BABYLON THE GREAT has remained a mystery. Perhaps soon, she will be revealed!
According to Unger’s Bible Dictionary, the term Rahab as used in this passage refers to a ‘sea monster’. Nelson’s Illustrated Bible Encyclopedia calls it ‘Rahab the Dragon – a mythological sea monster or dragon representing the evil forces of chaos…as it occurs in Job 9:1, Job 26:12, Ps. 89:19, and Isaiah 51:9…’
The O.T. usage compares perfectly with MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, seen by John as a harlot upon a seven-headed dragon in Rev. 17:3-5. Isaiah’s (51:9) makes it clear: Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut Rabab, and wounded the dragon? Perhaps then, Rahab and Babylon in Ps. 87 refers to the Revived Roman Empire predicted to dominate the world under the leadership of the antichrist during the Tribulation Period.
The mystery city will be destroyed as related in Ps. 89:10-11! Ethan completes the picture of G-d’s judgment upon the harlot city as he wrote, Thou has broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong are. The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine:… This is the kind of proiphetic description given in Rev. 17-18. The wicked city is destroyed.
…behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia – as a prophecy, it should be noted that Ethiopia is listed in Ez. 38:5 as an ally of Magog in their future invasion. Tyre could be the location of invasion route (from the north). Philistia is an ancient name for the modern Palestinians and may refer to the PLO. The verse to participants in the future Battle of Gog and Magog which also may be described in the previous psalm (86:14): as a possible reference to 1987, our attention is drawn to the alliance with is building against Israel.
[5] And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.
[6] The LORD shall count, when he writeth up the people, that this man was born there. Selah.
4-6 When the time has come for Mystery Babylon to be revealed and for the Battle of Gog and Magog to ravage the world, G-d will appoint and seal 114,000 Jews for a special ministry. When 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes are chosen, they will need to present their genealogies. Each must prove his tribal ancestry. Therefore, it is written, this man was born there, … A prophetic reference seemingly is made to the choosing of the 144,000 as the sons of Korah wrote, The LORD shall count.

The definition of the number 87 meaning ‘refined gold, purified, a epithet (metaphor) of gold, it is distinguished from common gold. Separate and purify by fire, leaping for joy and dancing. This ancient rendering, however, seems to have almost fallen into disuse among the Hebrews. This meaning may be important when considering the future Jewish remnant (144,000) who will be separated and sealed in their foreheads, as opposed to the ‘mark of the beast’ in the foreheads of wicked mean representing the ordinary gold of Mystery Babylon. The Jewish remnant will be tried in the fires of the Tribulation Period. When they restore Temple worship, they will leap for joy, but when the abomination of desolation occurs, they will flee as a gazelle. Some say the melting point of gold is 1948 degree Fahrenheit! Some say 1945.4 is the exact melting point. Adolph Hitler committed suicide int eh fourth month of 1945! Perhaps as that point the gold of G-d’s Chosen People was melted. Their hearts were thus prepared to return to their Promise Land.
[7] As well the singers as the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs are in thee.
At least we can say it was a token fulfillment of the future MYSTERY BABYLON.
The processional for bringing the Ark of the Covenant must include the singers and players of instruments. Just when the Ark will be returned or taken to the Temple Mount is not known, but the general feeling is that the momentum is building for that predicted event. The sons of Korah were members of the Kohathites who carried the Ark. Ps. 73-89 are positioned in such a way as to present the processional. It may be the duty of the 144,000 to return the Ark to the Temple site, set up the Tabernacle of David and restore the Priesthood at or near the beginning of the Tribulation.
Unsettling Calmness
There is an unsettling calmness in the air but I feel a heavy darkness heading our way.
Within minutes piercing rain drops came crashing down as if to clean the atmosphere of ungodliness.
Lighting flashing is cutting threw the fears, doubt, confusion and insecurity with in each of us. In every drop of heavenly rain delivers a blessing. We only need to reach out to receive it and be set free that we can grow closer to our Creator.
When the storms of life subside one must look for the rainbow to remember all of G-d’s promises are true, and they will come to pass in His timing.
All things can be seen as a positive or a negative, it is an individual choice. Do you want to walk through this life positive or do you wish to only see the negative side? Your choice determines your outlook on life.
Rain is a blessing that helps us to renew our spirits and commitments to the Father.
Message from G-d
"Where is My lover?
I am coming for My beloved.
You say you love Me but you do not spend time with Me.
Why do you not put Me first?
Why is everything more important than Me?
I love the body of My followers but they are not being intimate with Me.
Where are your priorities?
Where is My lover?
I am looking for My beloved who wants to become intimate with Me."
Amen & amen - it is the same message I have been crying out to my husband for over a year!
Coincidence???? Or am I on the right track??????????
How do you interpret this?
I can not force another to love me or put me at top prioritie - when does time run out?

Enablement
As parents we tend to enable our children by trying to fix everything for them. Many are still doing it when the children are in their thirties and forties.
Then comes the ‘blame’ game – it is the ‘systems’ fault, it is the way society is, everyone is picking on them. And the list goes on and on. Pointing fingers at everybody or everything else – people don’t want to take account for their own actions.
‘Spare the rod and spoil the child,’ G-d said. If we would remove our hands and allow the children to learn to make their own choices and be accountable for their own actions, that would be allowing them to grow up to become respectable adults.
I see children ‘young adults’ slowly maturing for they haven’t learned lives lessons nor been prepared for it.
Read about Eli and the hard lesson he had to learn for not training his boys. They were probably good at this or that but even the very worse person has good and bad qualities. Hell is real and paved with good intentions.
Our choice in life determines our destiny. No matter how much pampering one gets, or all the bad choices they make it comes down to individual decisions and for those who cry ‘I wasn’t trained that way, so there for I did not know.’ Some are still trying to point a finger to blame another person for their choices, because they did not seek out correct advice to life’s problems.

Dispenser of Strict-Justice
[85:1] LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.
In January of 1985 the world learned of ‘Operation Moses.’ Israel had been airlifting Ethiopian Jews from refugee camps in Sudan. Over ten thousand black Jews (Falashas) had escaped persecution under Ethiopia’s communist regime. They had journeyed over the mountainous border into Sudan. Through Sudan is an Arab counry and had no official relations with Israel, certain government personnel had permitted European airliners, hired by Israel, to rescue the refugees.
Living conditions in the camps were deplorable. Several hundreds of the Falashas, perhaps thousands had died for lack of food or proper medical attention. Most, however, had managed to survive and were rescued. It is quite remarkable that the first verse of Ps 85 would allude to the captivity of Jacob returning to the Promised Land.
Trans European Airways, a Brussels-based charter airline, made 35 flights from November 1884 to January 1985, airlifting black Jews out of refugee camps in Sudan. The flights were canceled afer Israeli officials confirmed newspaper reports that a rescue mission was under way. Embarrassed Sudanese government officials halted the flights once news licked out. Their Arab neighbors were furious that Sudan would help Israel. Some 7,000 Falashas remained stranded in refugee camps in Sudan and perhaps as many as 10,000 were still in Ethiopia. Prime Minister Peres vowed, ‘we shall not rest until all our brothers and sisters from Ethiopia come safely back home.’
Who are these Ethiopian Jews? Some claim descent from the tribe of Levi by Moses and his Ethiopian wife (Num. 12:1). Others claim descent from the tribe of Judah by Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. According to Ethiopian history, the Queen of Sheba had a foot disorder and heard that Solomon had knowledge of medicines and herbs. In the weeks following her arrival in Jerusalem, she fell in love with Solomon. From their union came a son, Menelik – the first of the dynasty of whom Hail Selassie claimed to be the 225th generation.
When Menelik was nineteen years old, having received his education in Jerusalem, he was realy to make his journey to Ethiopia. Solomon had a duplicate made of the Ark of the Covenant and presented it to his son. However, according to Ethiopia history, having some of the wisdom of his father, Menelik threw a farewell party the night before he left. He served several rounds of wine to the priesthood. While they were preoccupied and inebriated, he sneaked into the Holy of Holies, switched Arks and took the real Ark of the Covenant back to Ethiopia.
Haile Selassie claimed it was the real Ark. Encyclopedia Britannica in 1934 reported the Ark being in the church. The table of stone upon which the Ten Commandments was written is also there.
Isaiah 18 records a prophecy about the rescue of Jews from Ethiopia and their bringing a present to the Temple Mount. Isa. 188:1 ‘Woe to the land shadowing with wings, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia.’ The Nile river begins in Northern Ethiopia and flow through Sudan. The designation is apparent. The passage refers to Ethiopia. The wings could be a picture of those airplanes airlifting the black Jews to safety. Woe to the land could be a reference to Ethiopia’s future destruction in the Battle of Gog and Magog (Ezekiel 38:5). Ethiopia will accompany Russia against Israel.
Isaiah 18:2 speaks of vessels of bulrushes. Such boats are still used in the land until this day. There are only two places in the Bible where bulrushes are mentioned – here, and in Exodus 2:3, a story of the rescue of Moses. The vessels of bulrushes may be G-d’s way of predicting that the rescue of Ethiopian Jews would be called ‘Operation Moses.’
Isaiah 18:2 continues,…Go, ye swift messengers, to a nation scattered and peeled, to a people terrible from their beginning hitherto; a nation melted out and trodden down, whose land the rivers had spoiled! The swift messengers could be the air rescue team. The term scattered could refer to the displaced people and peeled refers to the color of their skin-a black skinned people who look as if their skin has been baked in the sun. melted out and trodden down describes the communist overthrow of the country since 1974 and their oppressive actions against the populace. Whose land the rivers have spoiled compares with the drought which has devastated the land in recent years.
The next verse 3 reveals a message to Gentile Christianity all over the world. All ye inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, see ye, when he lifeth up an ensign on the mountains; and when he bloweth a trumpet, hear ye. The ensign may be the Holy Ark brought back to the Temple Mount and the trumpet could refer to the shofar sounded on Rosh Hashanah.
The concept that the Ark of the Covenant will be returned to the Temple site on Rosh Hashanah is given in the Tehillim commentary on Ps. 47. Talmudic rabbis say that this sounding of the trumpet has a reference to the Ark of the Covenant, which was concealed as the era of the First Temple drew to a close. ‘In the future, when the great horn of redemption is blown, this Ark will ascend from its concealment.’
The rabbi’s believe the blast will occur on Rosh Hashanah heralding not only the appearance of the Ark of the Covenant, but the time when the ‘Dispenser of Strict-Justice’ sets His judgment and raises the dead. ‘When the Jew hears the sound of the trumpet, he realizes that he deserves shattering punishment for his sins, he is forgiven and repent. Having felt remorse for his sins, he is forgiven and the verdict is nullified. Thus, G-d ascends and departs because of the trumpet blast.’ Isaiah 18:5 alludes to the Battle of Gog and Magog: For afore the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches. Just before the harvest when the bud is perfect (the last sinner is converted), and the sour grape is ripening (the wicked are ready to be thrown into
G-d’s winepress of judgment), G-d will cut down the branches (bring on the Battle of Gog and Magog).
Ezekiel’s prophecy compares with this passage. Just as Ezek. 39:17-20 offers an invitation to…every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, …to eat the flesh of the slain on the battlefield, Isaiah 18:6 says, They shall be left together unto the fowls of the mountains, and to the beast of the earth; and the fowls shall summer upon them, and all the beast of the earth shall winter upon them.
Isa. 18:7 returns to the most important subject of the chapter. In that time shall the present be brought unto the L-RD of host of a people…to the place of the name of the L-RD of host, the mount Zion. Could that present be the Ark of the Covenant? The poor Ethiopian Jews have no money. The only thing of value is the Ark kept in the Church of St. Mary of Zion in Aksum.
The minor prophet Zephaniah offers a further prophecy. Zeph. 1:1 He was apparently an Ethiopiah Jew, the son of Cushi and in chapter 3:10 the prophet wrote, From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my supplians, even the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering. The word suppliants is used only one time in the Bible. It means ‘a multitude of worshipers.’ This multitude of Ethiopian Jews is called the daughter of my dispersed. These people are the daughter (offspring) of the Jews (my dispersed). This may be another reference to the Ark of the Covenant since they have no other offering to bring. The Zephaniah is placed in the time frame of that day (v. 11) at that time…when I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the L-Rd. (3:20).
This is why Psalm 85 is so important as a reference to the rescue of Ethiopian Jews. The rescue effort continues. It is not yet complete and the Holy Ark has not yet been returned. According to rabbinic scholars, the psalm originally predicted Israel’s return from the Babylonian exile to rebuild the Temple. Ultimately, the psalm projects a future time when Jews would return to open the Third Temple Period. In 1985 a movement was already underway in Israel with demands by religious Jews for a place to worship on the Temple mount. The prophetic aspect of the psalm is most significant when considered with the preceding psalm (84) wherein David ‘yearned to return to the Holy Ark and to the sacrificial altar, this psalm as a prophecy describing Israel’s eventual redemption from the present exile.
Israel will be spiritually revived again. Reconciliation will be made with G-d His shekinah glory will return. The people will become righteous as a prelude to the steps coming of the Messiah.
Future events which may lead to Israel’s revival includes a return of the Ark of the Covenant, an appointment of 144,000 to raise the Tabernacle of David and a restoration of the Temple worship on the Sacred Mount.
Rabbi Feuer wrote in his commentary on the Ps., ‘In the future, G-d’s glory will return to the land and to the Holy Temple. In the Second Temple, this glory was absent. The Talmud relates that five Divine manifestations which were present in the First Temple were absent in the Second Temple. These were:
1. The Holy Ark, along with its cover, and the cherubim.
2. The heavenly fire which descended upon the altar.
3. The Shekinah (manifestation of the Divine Presence).
4. Ruach HaKodesh (the Divine Spirit of prophecy).
5. Urim V’Tumim (the breast plate of the High Priest, which relayed prophetic messages).
All of these phenomena will be present when the Third Temple is built!
The number 85 has two uses:
1. It means ‘mouth, in the sense of blowing or breathing.
2. It means ‘here, in this place.’
We have a moving of the Spirit. G-d is about to birth the nation with the Holy Spirit. Remembers the words of Y’Shua, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of G-d in John 3:5. Israel was born of water in 1948. Soon the nation will be born of the Sprit-where? Here, in this place! On the Temple Mount!
Angry Waves
Heavy waves of brown filth are rolling in smashing against the shores as if trying to rid itself of all the pollution. The birds are trying desperately to fly forward but the wind pushes them uncontrollable backwards.
It appears like everything is out of control. What is going on in the Heavenly?
Dead fish are being toss to the shore – there is a disturbance here as if creation is crying out.
I found myself calling out ‘Peace-be still!’ and before my eyes the angry waves subsided and the fowl of the air could fly normal again. Did we win the war in the heavenly or did the raging sea calm down because we were given dominion over the elements?
The water did not appear dark brown anymore – amazing!

Ark of the Covenant
[Ps. 84:1] How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!
[2] My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
[4] Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.
[10] For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Psalm 84 is the highlight psalm of the Leviticus section. It follows a series of Psalms written by Asaph and is the first of a second group (84-85, 87-88) attributed to the sons of Korah. They also wrote Psalms 42-49.
Rabbi Feuer wrote that David, while on foreign soil, ‘yearned to return to the Holy Ark and to the sacrificial altar. In this palm, he described the longing of all ‘lonely exiles in future generations.’
The tenor of the psalm certainly describes devout Jews in 1984. After so many long years excluded from the Tempt Mount and content with praying at the Western Wall, certain ‘Faithful of the Temple Mount’ began to call for a Jew-presence within the confines of the Moslem-held Temple site. It was as if the pent-up cry burst forth, My soul longeth, hea, even fainteth for the courts of the
L-RD.
Even the number 84 lends to the mood of the year. The number 84 meaning ‘to ransom, to release, to set free.’ This was certainly the cry of the religious Jews who desire to establish a place of worship on the mountain. The Moslems are in control of the Holy site and it’s time for the Jews to redeem it.
In January of 1984, Yigael Yadin published his commentary on the famous Temple Scroll in English. The scroll was drafted with the object of establishing that is
G-d Himself who is the speaker. Instructions are given in the ancient document on rebuilding the Temple!
In April, 1984 issue of BAR Magazine, archeologist Asher Kaufman discussed at length the site of the ancient Temples and suggested that both Solomon’s and Herod’s were built on a site which lies to the north of the Dome of the Rock directly west of the Eastern Gate. A small cupula stands some three hundred feet north of the mosque. It is called the ‘Dome of the Tablets’ and covers a rock suggested being the foundation stone for the Ark of the Covenant. The spot marks the possible location of the Holy of Holies in both Temples. And whatever happened to the Ark of the Covenant? According to Jewish history, Jeremiah took the hangings of the Tabernacle, along with the Ark of the Covenant, and hid them in a cave in the country of Moab almost 2,600 years ago.
The account is recorded in the apocryphal book of 2 Maccabees 2:4-8:
[3] And with other such speeches exhorted he them, that the law should not depart from their hearts.
[4] It was also contained in the same writing, that the prophet, being warned of God, commanded the tabernacle and the ark to go with him, as he went forth into the mountain, where Moses climbed up, and saw the heritage of God.
[5] And when Jeremy came thither, he found an hollow cave, wherein he laid the tabernacle, and the ark, and the altar of incense, and so stopped the door.
[6] And some of those that followed him came to mark the way, but they could not find it.
[7] Which when Jeremy perceived, he blamed them, saying, As for that place, it shall be unknown until the time that God gather his people again together, and receive them unto mercy.
[8] Then shall the Lord shew them these things, and the glory of the Lord shall appear, and the cloud also, as it was shewed under Moses, and as when Solomon desired that the place might be honourably sanctified.
[5] And when Jeremy came thither, he found an hollow cave, wherein he laid the tabernacle, and the ark, and the altar of incense, and so stopped the door.
[6] And some of those that followed him came to mark the way, but they could not find it.

[8] Then shall the Lord shew them these things, and the glory of the Lord shall appear, and the cloud also, as it was shewed under Moses, and as when Solomon desired that the place might be honourably sanctified.
According to the ancient account, Jeremiah declared that the Tabernacle would be discovered that the Tabernacle would be discovered in the day when G-d gathers His people together again and shows them His mercy. Jeremiah predicted the return of the Shekinah glory. The fire will fall from heaven to bless the old tent with the presence of G-d. just as it did at the dedications of Moses’ Tabernacle and Solomon’s Temple.
The prophecies of Ezekiel seem to concur. Through the Battle of Gog and Magog is predicted in Ezekiel 38, the last three verses of chapter 37 allude to the return of the Tabernacle:
[26] Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.
[27] My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
[28] And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.
The Hebrew word in verse 27 and Ps. 84:1 for tabernacle is ‘Mishkon.’ It is used exclusively in the O.T. It is used exclusively in the O.T. for the Mosaic Tabernacle built of acacia wood, overlaid with gold, comprising two rooms – the Holy place and the Holy of Holies. Ezekiel referred to both a sanctuary and a Mishkon. Psalm 84 makes the term plural (tabernacles) which implies at least two places of worship.
In the days of King David, a special tent was built to house the Ark of the Covenant on Mount Moriah. It was the Tabernacle of David. The Mishkon of Moses during that time was located at Gibeon about 6 miles northwest of Jerusalem. The Hebrew term used for David’s tabernacle was Ouhel meaning simply a tent. The implication seems to be that both the Mishkon of Moses and the Ouhel of David may be found with the Ark of the Covenant and return to Jerusalem. The Ouhel of David could house the Ark of the Covenant on the Temple Mount while the Mishkon of Moses could be kept elsewhere.
There are reports of an Ark hidden in the Church of Saint Mary of Zion in Aksum, Ethiopia. Menelik, son of Solomon and the Queen of Sheba stole the Ark, leaving a duplicate in its place.
We may not have long to wait until the real Ark is returned to Jerusalem.
The most exciting event of 1984 was the rediscovery of the ancient Techelet – the blue-purple die once used in the ribbons along the borders of Jewish prayer shawls (talliths). In the September 8, 1984, edition of SCIENCE NEWS OF THE WEEK the headline read, ‘Blue-purple dye of antiquity reborn. A biochemist in Jerusalem priced together historical, scriptural and scientific evidence to conclude that he had rediscovered the formula for the ancient dye used by Moses to color the tapestries of the Tabernacle and the ribbons of blue on the talliths of ancient Judaism. G-d had told Moses to obtain the dye from a small sea creature which lived in the Red Sea and the Mediterranean. This purple dye eventually became the color for the royalty of Europe. In the days of the N.T., Lydia was a seller of purple in Acts 16:14. The industry maintained its popularity until the seventh century when the Moslems overran the Holy Land. They killed the manufactures of the dye and the formula died with them. For the past 1,500 years, Jewish talliths have been adorned with black ribbons. It seemed that G-d, called a Banded Dye Murex grows in abundance in the Mediterranean Sea. G-d is about to turn the Jewish night back to day!
