Miss the Mark? 1977

You shall not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

The arrows of the L-RD’S deliverance, and the arrow of deliverance from the persecutors, are in play.
But beware and watch where you are shooting!
The persecutors have bent their bows, and set me as a mark for the arrows. But G-d shall shoot at them with an arrow; and the L-RD shall be seen over them, and His arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the L-rd G-D shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds.
Make bright the arrows; gather the shields: the L-RD has risen up. I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them, for the arrows of the Almighty are within me. He ordaineth His arrows against the persecutors.
"As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. They need to be trained and equipped to fight in the heavenlies.
But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
You are of purer eyes than to behold evil, and cannot look on iniquity: wherefore look upon them that deal treacherously, and hold your tongue when the wicked devour, are you not more righteous than he?
Their tongue is as an arrow shot out; it speaketh deceit: their tongue a sharp sword. One speaketh peaceably to his neighbour with his mouth, but in heart he lays in wait.
Who sharpeneth their tongue like a sword, and bendeth their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words.
And remember that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, as you go forth in My army."
