Ex. 20:19 And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not
G-d speak with us, lest we die.
Deut. 4:36 Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire.
Deut. 5:24 And ye said, Behold, the L-RD our G-d hath shewed us his glory and his greatness, and we have heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that G-d doth talk with man, and he liveth.
Eze. 43:2 And, behold, the glory of the G-d of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory.
